Now Geno has apologized and Robert talks about the response to his mea culpa. Also, Robert talks about Boy George's bravery in sticking to his principles in another tale of the theatre.

Robert explores the controversial casting of an actor in the long-running Broadway musical "Hadestown" and his ultimate firing for expressing views that do not align with those of the theatre world. Whatever happened to inclusion and tolerance?

Robert offers his take on Christopher Nolan's blockbuster, "The Odyssey," still encouraging people to see it but also pointing out its flaws and asking if we really need modern-day adaptation of a classic piece of Western literature.

Disagreement Does Not Equal Hate!®

Robert looks at a couple of issues of relevance as we celebrate America's 250th birthday. First he looks at the Reflecting Pool controversy where some fringe lunatics are celebrating the destruction of beauty, as is typical in the arts. Second, he discusses an article by an LGBTQ+ activist who talks about how the AIDS crisis led to the development of art as a "lifesaving" endeavor. Robert equates that technique to the need for conservative and traditionally-minded people to create art to salvage the good, the beautiful, and the true.

It's a show about not the good, not the bad, but definitely the ugly! 

Robert starts by discussing the unattractiveness of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, comparing it to the general distaste for beauty in contemporary architecture and art, but then segways to a Facebook posting that ignorantly and incorrectly characterizes Stage Right Theatrics and its purpose.

Robert discusses a fascinating article that poses the question, "Does engagement with the arts slow aging?" While a stimulating discussion, for Robert, it's the wrong question. Instead we should be looking at how art enriches the soul.

Robert reviews the characteristics of contemporary leftwing art such as the dehumanizing of an individual into a group identity, the marginalization of anyone who does not adhere to the set of characteristics associated with that identity, and a rejection of the good, the beautiful, and the true.

Robert, himself in a production of the classic musical "1776," looks back a couple of years to a strange Broadway revival of the musical featuring an all female cast. Why would anyone do this? Because a statement had to be made that disavowed the wonder and grandeur of the Declaration of Independence in favor of the misery of contemporary malcontents!

Robert looks at the new musical about murderer Luigi Magione and how it is slated for a New Yor run after a successful set of shows in San Francisco. TO Robert, this is further proof of the degradation of our culture.

Join Robert as he shares his thoughtful letter to the director of the interracial "A Streetcar Named Desire" and her equally, and typically, thoughtful response.

Robert explores the recent rejection by the Columbus Downtown Commission of the Center for Christian Virtue's plan to erect three crosses on its rooftop. Can a symbol of faith be merely a graphic to be regulated by a government entity? Is this a free speech issue?

Robert looks at the possibility of producing the classic American lay, "A Raisin in the Sun," with a non-traditional, interracial cast. Would that be welcome in an artistic world where colorblind casting is embraced wholeheartedly, mostly?
