The gift of salvation is unique because of its source: God himself. Salvation is the greatest of all gifts: it is the greatest theme in Scripture (both OT and NT). Salvation, then, is offered "freely". But does that mean it costs nothing? Not at all! It cost Jesus everything! Jesus humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (Philippians 2:8) Only thing keeping many from this gift is their choice to receive it... * John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name

"Don't ask; don't tell" is not how God encourages us to live. He loves it when we ASK Him about anything, for that is how we learn. And He says that when we ask with the desire to know, we get answers. Then He encourages us to TELL everyone we can what He and the Lord Jesus have done for us and what they will do for others.

Hello. I want to ask you a question today. Will you go to heaven? I mean, think about it for a moment. Do you know one hundred percent for sure, that if you were to die today, that you’d go to heaven?
Now, you may be one of those folks who say, William, I know that I am saved. I know that I’m a Christian and I know without a doubt that when I die I will go to heaven.
Now, that’s wonderful but let me ask you a second question. Why do you believe that? What are you basing that on? Now, when that question is ask we get many responses but the most common are these:
1. I Made a Profession of Faith in Jesus Christ.
2. I Ask Jesus To Come Into My Heart and Save Me.
3. I Believe in Jesus.
