The Daily Pulse (Friday, February 27, 2015): ...Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God.... John 21:17-19 (NIV)

Summary: God has done some awesome and amazing things in our lives, particularly our salvation through Jesus Christ. Yet, at times our lack of excitement and passion for the things of God can seem almost criminal. Jesus writes to the church in Laodicea to try to reignite their passion for the things of God.
Life is about making choices, and the mission of Jesus was to give people a choice between God and the Devil. Jesus clearly wanted people to pick a side, God's side. How do we know which side that is? We look closely at people's ACTIONS and compare them to what the Word of God says. Then we side with those who are siding with the Lord.

Did you know that those who heard the first words of Jesus Christ that are recorded in Scripture almost dropped their teeth? Although Jesus was then speaking directly to Jews, the "bottom line" principle he set forth in his "inaugural address" also apply to us today. Here it is: The only people who have a chance are those who realize they have no chance. Got it? Getting in touch with the reality of your need will drive you to a source of provision.

Are we there yet? - The Daily Pulse (Wednesday, February 25, 2015): “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Mark 13:32 (NIV)
Jehoshaphat jumped when he shouldn't have, but God hung in there with him, and helped him jump back into His arms just in the nick of time. A living and real testimony to how God works with us despite our human frailties.

Romans 9:12-21
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. 18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. 19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Romans 1:18-32
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
In this video we begin to discuss how to hear God. Prior to this our discussions were centered in on asking if it is Biblical to hear God. (part 5 of10)
