Yes, He is willing and able to answer our prayers for forgiveness, but He wants to and will do so much more in our lives. Praise and Worship Team's Powerful 'How Great Thou Art' Performance

A church’s praise and worship team turned in a powerful and moving performance of the beloved classic hymn “How Great Thou Art.”

Hymns are beautiful pieces of music that accurately and perfectly describe the Lord’s love, faithfulness, mercy and grace. No matter how many times you may have heard a particular hymn, the beautifully written lyrics are bound to cause you to have an emotional reaction every time. You may have listened to a hymn 5,000 times, but it doesn’t matter; your eyes will inevitably well up with tears.

Sadly, many churches have abandoned the old hymns. Their worship leaders and teams have decided to concentrate more on contemporary Christian music. However, those timeless hymns are still as relevant and powerful today as when they were first written. Everyone needs to become acquainted with hymns. No contemporary Christian music tune will ever top “Amazing Grace,” “Great is Thy Faithfulness” or “How Great Thou Art.”

In a clip posted on YouTube, a team of extremely gifted musicians used their God-given talents to bring glory and honor to His name. They give a spirited rendition of “How Great Thou Art.”

“How Great Thou Art” is a song that forces you to stop and think about how the Lord has touched and blessed our lives. We have done nothing to deserve His love, mercy and forgiveness. Yet He continually pours out His love and blessings on us. When considering all of this, how can you not react similarly to and sing out the hymn’s memorable and iconic chorus?

How great Thou art, how great Thou art”

If those words don’t cause you to become emotional, then not much will do the trick. We have so much to be thankful for. God is entirely too good to us, a bunch of unworthy sinners.

Choir Delivers Chilling Rendition of 'It Is Well With My Soul'

A massive and incredibly talented choir turned in a chilling rendition of the beloved hymn “It Is Well with My Soul.”

The world is a lost, fallen and sad place. Many people are hurting, struggling and crying out for help and hope. Those individuals want something that will ease the pain and provide momentary relief.

Sadly, this is the current state of our world. People are hurting and lost in a society filled with chaos and disorder. Most people have no idea what peace feels and looks like. They will look every which way trying to find even a minute of tranquility and calm, and always come up empty.

But there is one who provides a peace that surpasses all understanding. When everything around us is hectic and out of control, Jesus Christ can and will provide a place of comfort and peace. He will be the shelter during the storm, a calm presence among the chaos and confusion in the world.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a choir composed of dozens of musically gifted vocalists sings a tune about the peace offered by Jesus Christ. “It is Well with My Soul” is a beloved and beautiful hymn about knowing that whatever happens in this life, Christ is still in control and remains on the throne.

The hymn’s opening verse is lovely. It perfectly captures and articulates the kind of peace and calm offered by Jesus Christ. While they may be more than familiar to followers of Christ, the verse tells of something many in the world don’t know but desperately need.

“When peace like a river, attendeth my way

When sorrows like sea billows roll

Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say

It is well, it is well, with my soul”

We can rest assured that whatever we come up against or encounter in life, Christ remains faithful. That is more than enough to give us peace, whatever our lot in life.

John 16:33 “I have said all these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world, you have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Moving Cover of 'How Great Thou Art' Captivates

A moving and emotional performance of the classic and beloved hymn “How Great Thou Art” captivates.

The old church hymns are some of the most beautiful pieces of music. Sadly, they are some of the most underutilized pieces of music as well. Those songs are about Christ’s love, faithfulness, grace and forgiveness. Sure, some of them are hundreds of years old in some cases. But that does not make them any less relevant today than when they were first written.

There are some truly outstanding and talented contemporary Christian musicians. Their songs and incredible talent are helping to spread Jesus Christ's message to those who may not otherwise hear it. However, in my opinion, none of those songs will ever top such hymns as “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” “In the Garden,” “Victory in Jesus,” “Amazing Grace” or the many, many others.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a couple of young people gave a soul-stirring performance of another of those beloved hymns, “How Great Thou Art.” It’s a captivating performance. Their incredible musical talent immediately draws you in as you listen to them perform the hymn about the power and greatness of our loving heavenly Father.

I’m not sure there’s a more beautiful song written about God’s power, love and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ going to the cross than “How Great Thou Art.” The lyrics pack an impactful and emotional punch every time you hear it.  Then, of course, there is that iconic and memorable chorus everyone knows by heart.

“Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art”

If that hymn and those words don’t bring a tear to your eye or cause a catch in your throat, I’m not sure that anything will ever do it.
