A delivery woman went the extra mile to help celebrate a dog's birthday.

Everyone has a birthday, a specific date on the calendar that marks our entry into the world. Whether someone recognizes or celebrates them is an entirely different story, but those dates still happen yearly. Some may want to ignore them and act as if they don't occur, but that will never be a successful strategy.

For most people, a birthday is not a big deal. It is simply another date on the calendar. However, there is one group of people who love their birthdays and want everyone to know when it's their birthday: children. They love everything about their birthday – the cake, candles, presents and the party.

A sweet video shows that children may not be the only creatures on Earth who enjoy birthdays. Dogs are also big on celebrating and recognizing the day of their birth.

In the clip posted on YouTube, a woman dropping off a package at someone's front door finds a large pad of paper with several messages. The messages inform her that today is the homeowner's dog's birthday, and unfortunately, he will not be home to celebrate it with the animal.

So, to help the homeowner out, the woman goes above and beyond. She does exactly as the messages instruct her. She dons a chicken suit and walks into the house as she sings "Happy Birthday" to the pup.

The dog is overjoyed to see the woman in the giant chicken costume come through the door and give it some attention and love. 

That's a very special woman. Not many people would have done that for someone they don't know. Most people would have taken the $200 and left. She did all of that to make a dog feel a little less lonely on its big day.

A precious and adorable pup refused to enjoy a snack without its owner’s pre-meal prayer.

Anyone who considers themselves a Christian should be incredibly familiar with prayer. Prayer allows Christians to communicate their hopes, fears, burdens and concerns to the Lord. It’s an activity that Christians should engage in regularly. How else can you grow, develop and maintain a relationship with someone without regular communication?

Yes, prayer is an opportunity to express our concerns and make requests of the Lord. But it is much more than that. It’s also an act of worship, mainly when we use prayer to thank Him for our many blessings. Before consuming a meal, we should express gratitude for all the Lord has done for us, particularly for providing the food we are about to ingest.

A sweet clip shows that even animals understand that thanking the Lord before eating is a good and necessary practice. The short video on YouTube begins with the dog being informed that it can enjoy a nice snack. After being given the go-ahead, the animal takes a few steps toward its bowl but is unsure.

The dog looks back at its owner, apparently waiting for further instructions on what to do. It knows that things feel a bit off and understands something is missing.

Once again, the animal’s owner tells the dog to “Go,” which the dog does, but only for a few more feet. It stops and turns toward its owner, looking for something to happen before it eats.

The owner again tells the dog to enjoy the snack in its bowl.

“You can eat it, go!” the person behind the camera tells the dog.

However, this time, the dog does not move.

It’s not until the owner holds her foot out toward the dog for the animal to put its paw on and prays and thanks the Lord that the canine feels comfortable eating.

This brilliant cat figures out how to open the door, and a break-out to the great outdoors begins! In a charming twist of fate, a clever cat and an enthusiastic dog have set aside their differences to embark on a thrilling adventure: escaping to the great outdoors. This delightful duo proves that even the most unlikely partners can form an unstoppable team driven by a shared goal.

A precious kitten found the absolute most adorable location to take a nap.

Kittens are some of the cutest creatures that you will ever encounter. It’s nearly physically impossible to pass by a kitten without stopping to pet the animal or at least acknowledge its presence in some way. Often, that’s all it takes to make a friend for life. Show them a little bit of attention and love, and they may follow you home.

In addition to being super cute, kittens are some of the most tired, seemingly worn-out creatures. Judging by their numerous naps throughout the day, they are constantly in desperate need of sleep. If you’re unable to find your kitten or cat in the house, odds are the animal has likely found a unique, often wholly hidden spot to catch some shuteye.

A clip posted on YouTube shows the hilarious and adorable location one kitten chose for a nap. The short clip shows a gray-and-white kitten curled up next to a beagle who has also fallen asleep. But the sweetest part of their nap is that the kitten uses the dog’s ear to help shield its face and eyes from any light that may keep it awake.

Seconds into the video, a hand appears on camera to lift the canine’s ear, which reveals the kitten’s sweet little face. Neither the kitten nor the dog is bothered in the slightest by the lifting of the ear. The cat simply repositions itself, moving closer to the dog and continues its nap.

The text in the video, near the top of the screen, states that this isn’t the first nap these two cute, furry and four-legged friends have taken together.

“If cuddling was an Olympic sport these two would take home the gold,” the text reads.

Animals are some of the most unique and fascinating creatures on Earth. Dogs, cats, birds, lizards, bears and every other member of the animal community are part of God’s creation. They were placed on Earth by the same God who gave life to man and put the sun, moon and stars in place.

God does not make duplicates. He specializes in making individuals, setting everyone apart from one another. While some dogs, cats or birds may look similar in appearance, they are all different in specific ways. Like people, they all have their habits, quirks and personalities. Every pet owner understands this to be ultimately and entirely true.

A clip posted on YouTube shows one precious pup that is likely different from any other dog you’ve encountered. This canine enjoys the water. Rosie loves being on a board and riding the waves with her owner.

“There’s absolutely nothing that Rosie likes better than being out on the ocean on the board with me,” said Rosie’s owner.

Amazingly, this dog has absolutely no fear of the water or the massive waves crashing into the surfboard. But what’s even more incredible about Rosie is that her owner admits he never taught her how to surf. The animal does everything it does on the board and ocean entirely by instinct.

As the three-minute clip shows, Rosie is always ready for an adventure in the ocean. Footage shows her joyous and enthusiastic reaction whenever she hears the word “surf” or “surfing.”

Rosie even participates in surf competitions, placing first, second and third in them.

Rosie is a fascinating animal. Most dogs seem to be scared to death of water, but not Rosie. She would rather be on a surfboard on the water than probably anywhere else.

Athletes are some of society's most revered and admired people. Many people look at athletes with awe because they are amazed at what they are able to do with such ease, elegance and grace. They can make their bodies do extraordinary things that most people can only dream of and imagine doing.

To be a world-class, professional-level athlete requires enormous dedication, practice and focus. Someone does not simply wake up one day and decide, "Hey, today, I think I'm going to go play for the New York Yankees or the Dallas Cowboys." No, it takes years and years of practice and hard work to reach that level.

Gymnasts are one group of athletes who epitomize elegance, grace and the hard work required to succeed. They move with incredible precision, timing and balance. How they are able to keep their balance and complete flips, spins and twirls effortlessly is beyond my comprehension.

However, despite their immense skill level, a short and cute video shows that one gymnast got a little help from a furry friend during her routine. The precious clip shows the cute cat fully enthralled and entranced as it watched one woman do her balance beam routine during the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

The cat was super into what the young lady was doing. The animal watched the gymnast's every move, never taking its eyes off the screen as she flipped along the beam. It was a good thing, too!

At one point, after completing a series of flips, the gymnast stops and nearly falls off and does everything possible to maintain her balance and remain on the beam. However, the animal reacts with a hysterical and helpful move. The cat puts its paw on the screen and grabs at her, helping her stay on the beam.

What a cute and helpful kitty!

A sweet and intelligent dog rang the doorbell to get back inside after leaving the yard.

As every parent knows, children will push their limits and boundaries. They want to know how much they can get away with before you react and put a stop to their fun. Those youngsters want to learn how much they can do before upsetting you and experiencing negative consequences.

Children are not the only creatures on Earth who like to push and then go over their boundaries. Animals want to find out where their limit is as well. Every pet owner understands that most animals sometimes push and stretch your patience. How much can they do before their owner limits play time or refuses to give a special treat?

A clip posted on YouTube shows a precious pup that apparently pushed and then physically went over its limits. The animal in the clip actually leaped over a fence, leaving its yard. Maybe the curious, adventurous and mischievous canine thought it heard a squirrel or the pesky neighborhood cat.

Regardless of why the dog decided to jump the fence and leave the yard, after about 15 minutes, the animal knew it needed to get back to its home. But how was it going to get back? The canine probably could have hopped back over the fence that it had previously jumped over or found another way back home.

The video shows and accompanying text in the clip explains how the animal found its way back inside its home. The two-year-old Bernese pup came to the front door and rang the doorbell, of course. The text mentions that the animal had apparently watched others gain entry into the house by ringing the doorbell and thought it was worth a shot.

The animal was right and was welcomed back home with an enthusiastic greeting!

Check out this adorable video! What could be cuter than a dog and ducklings snuggling and playing together? 

At the start of the video, we see an adorable Golden Retriever and a group of baby ducklings. They’re having a cuddle puddle! As the ducklings walk and climb over the Golden Retriever, you’ll notice how patient this dog is. It is absolutely incredible how gentle the dog can be with the ducklings. 

The dog’s facial expression starts to show some curiosity. It’s as if the Golden Retriever is thinking, “Oh man. I want to love them. Maybe, just maybe, I could just sneak in a little kiss.” 

Eventually, we see the sweet dog cannot hold back its feelings anymore and has to give one of the ducks a little kiss. The owner does say, “No licking.” The dog listens initially but has to sneak out one more loving kiss. We hear the owner giggle, likely because this interaction is just too cute to handle. I think this dog and the baby ducklings will be friends forever.

As you look in the comment section of this video, you will see lots of heart emojis and people expressing just how cute the video is. You will also see people complimenting the Golden Retriever on how patient and gentle it is with the ducks. Who can argue with that? 

After watching this precious interaction between the ducklings and the dog, we are reminded of how wonderful and miraculous God’s creations are. We are also reminded of the friendship that can occur not only between us humans but also through animals. Today, let’s be grateful for the love God has shown us through the power of friendship and the beauty of His creations.

If you're a cat lover like I am, you know how nerve-racking and exciting it can be to bring home a new kitten. The anticipation of introducing a new little furball into your home is filled with hopes that your cats will bond and become fast friends. This cat’s instant bond with a rescued kitten will absolutely melt your heart.

Lisa recently found herself in a precarious situation when she brought home Arthur, a tiny kitten with a sweet face she simply couldn’t resist. But like any concerned pet parent, she was anxious about how her older cat, Blue Belle, would react to the new addition.

Initially, Lisa was a bit on edge as she watched Blue Belle's every move around the new kitten. Would she hiss? Would she be jealous? However, to Lisa's relief, after a brief adjustment period, it became clear that there was nothing to worry about. Blue Belle’s reaction turned out to be better than she could have ever imagined. Not only did she accept Arthur into the family, but she also took on the role of a protective big sister—or perhaps even a mother figure.

The most adorable moment came when Lisa caught Blue Belle on camera, snuggled up next to Arthur. Blue Belle had gently wrapped herself around Aurther to give him a bath, as if to say, "You’re safe with me." She even began licking Arthur’s face, a gesture of affection that melted Lisa’s heart. It was as if Blue Belle was saying, "This little guy is part of our family now."

From time to time, Blue Belle would meow softly, looking up at Lisa as if trying to communicate something important. Watching the two of them together, cuddled up and completely at ease, you’d think they had always been a pair. Blue Belle’s nurturing behavior was more than Lisa could have hoped for. It was clear that not only had she accepted Arthur, but she had also grown quite attached to him, possibly even more so than Lisa herself!

Though Lisa was initially nervous about bringing a new kitten into the house, especially with an older cat in the picture, she had no choice when she found such an adorable, abandoned kitten. And thankfully, everything worked out perfectly in the end. Blue Belle and Arthur are now inseparable, proving that sometimes, all it takes is a little patience, a lot of love, and a sweet little kitten to bring out the best in everyone. We hope this video melts your heart and puts a smile on your face.

Dogs are creatures that get excited at someone's mere presence. More often than not, if you show any dog the slightest love and affection, you've got a friend for life. They are some of Earth's most loving, loyal and dependable animals.

A sweet video posted on social media perfectly shows and captures the joy and excitement dogs give people. In the short clip, the driver exits his vehicle and walks toward the door with a package in hand.

However, the young man spots a familiar furry face before reaching the door. As the man gets out of his truck and takes two steps toward the door, a tiny precious pup sprints toward the door. The shop's hairy little greeter causes the man to literally jump for joy.

Check out this precious and creative solution for a blind cat in need of daily connection. A woman's sweet gesture for her blind cat is truly heartwarming.

At the start of this video, we see an adorable gray and white fluffy cat behind a black gate. The caption reads, “I couldn’t stand seeing my blind cat like this any longer, so I came up with a temporary solution.” You see the cat jumping up on his back two paws and scratching at the top of the gate. The owner creates a tunnel entryway for her blind feline to get back and forth from the hallway into the room. It is a really adorable and creative idea.

She squeaks a cat toy at the end of the tunnel with the cat bed in the tent, trying to guide the blind cat audibly through the tunnel. It takes the cat a few tries to discover the opening. She goes over to help the cat through the tunnel and congratulates him on making it through. His name is Cheeto. The owner smiles at him as she sees what he has accomplished. The tunnel works out well, but the woman shares that it can get tight in his tent when the other cat named Jojo joins him. At the end of the video, she says that it was a great starting place, but she will need to expand the tunnel/tent bed soon, so stay tuned.

Watching the kind way that this owner cares for her pet cat inspires us to be good stewards too. Whether it is children, pets, plants, etc., whatever has been entrusted to us is with us for a reason and we need to care for it and glorify God in the ways that we nurture and provide.

See this hilarious video. A cat’s funny barking response to a new kitten will make you laugh.

You never know how an animal will respond to a new pet in the home. In this funny video, we see an older cat’s response to the new kitten. The owner’s name is Katie, and her caption reads, “Well that was unexpected.” The words over the video reveal that this 2-year-old cat grew up around dogs. This makes a lot of sense in the response, but it is still a shock. As the tiny kitten approaches the cat in his bed, the cat looks possessive. The kitten quickly runs away into the corner, slowly creeping around to try to rejoin the older pet.

The cat does not play around this time and comically barks at the kitten. The owner is videoing and cracking up about this unexpected response. The kitten scurries back again and then finally regains the confidence to approach the cat one more time, only to be barked at a second time. The owner is laughing. The kitten sits in the corner as the cat settles in her bed to show who was there first. It is hilarious. You cannot help but laugh along with the owner in the background.

We so easily laugh at this video, but how often do we become possessive over our groups of friends or church communities. We act like this cat and unexpectedly become territorial when someone new approaches. This is not the way of Jesus. He welcomed others and loved them. May this comical video remind us not to “bark” at others but to welcome them to Christ and a community. The body of believers flourishes when we say yes to new family members. There is a joy in being inclusive and sharing the gospel to all.

A loving and loyal dog had the sweetest reaction, seemingly left heartbroken after hearing of its owner’s upcoming vacation.

Animals are some of the best creatures you’ll ever encounter on Earth. They are so cute, loving and dependable. They are there whether you’ve had a good or a less-than-perfect day. Those furry, four-legged beings simply want attention and love from you.

In addition to being super loyal and dependable, animals are pretty smart—much smarter than most people would like to believe. They also possess a surprisingly high level of emotional intelligence. Dogs, cats and other creatures can pick up on the emotions and feelings of others, and as one clip shows, words and messages. 

An adorable YouTube video shows how one animal reacted emotionally after learning its owners were planning to head out on vacation for a few days. The sweet animal did not take the news of the trip well at all.

The short and heartbreaking clip begins with the animal completely distraught. It has just learned the news and hides from the camera, burying its face into the couch. The dog’s owner tries to console and comfort the sweet golden retriever as best she can.

“You’re going to have fun at Grandma’s, ok?” the woman tells the animal.

However, the animal hearing that it will spend some time at Grandma’s does not seem to do the trick. The dog is still bummed and sad that its favorite people in the world will be leaving it for several days.

About halfway through the clip, the dog is not sitting up and is looking forward, away from the camera. The woman behind the camera continues to comfort and console the dog, but the dog, possibly feeling betrayed, refuses to look in the woman’s direction.

What a sweet and heartbreaking reaction from an animal that obviously cares deeply for its owners.

Proverbs 12:10 “An upright man has thought for the life of his beast, but the hearts of evildoers are cruel.”

A dog and a dolphin have formed a surprising and sweet friendship.

Friends are special and important people in our lives. Having genuine, committed friendships makes life so much better and, at times, bearable. Friends are shoulders to cry on in times of hurt and heartache. They are people we can turn to for sound advice and direction when facing particular situations and decisions. Also, they help us celebrate the good, joyous occasions in life.

One can never have too many friends. It’s simply not possible to reach one’s limit for friendships. There is never a number when someone will say, “No, I have too many friends. Please, try back later.” You can always become a friend to someone, even when it’s someone you may have never expected to strike up a friendly relationship with.

A precious clip posted on social media shows the sweet and unexpected bond between a dog and a dolphin. Now, how does an animal that is on land 99.9% of the time become friendly with one that resides in the ocean? Your guess is as good as mine, but the video shows that the canine and the dolphin genuinely seem to enjoy each other’s company.

The video starts with the dolphin in extremely shallow water near a pier, where the canine hurriedly gazes over into the water. A woman narrating the video informs viewers that this isn’t the first time the dolphin has done this. The creature has returned, the young lady says.

Wanting to be as close to its friend as possible, the dog jumps into the water, creating a massive splash that momentarily scares off the dolphin. However, the dolphin quickly returns to the dog and the two of them swim around and by one another.

As the video perfectly shows, anyone can become a friend, and they can often come from places and at times when you least expect them.

Proverbs 18:24 “A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”

This is a unique video. A little girl’s outing with her pet fish captures hearts.

At the start of this video, a young girl, probably no older than ten is holding a long rope in a pond. You hear the child say, “It’s so cool,” as a large black fish swims back and forth in the water attached to the other end of the rope. The mother is filming the moment and asks her daughter, “Whatcha got there, Cami?” The little girl responds that she has a fish. The mother proceeds to ask her what she is doing. Cami tells her mom that she is taking her fish for a walk. It is adorable and comical. 

This young mind is creative and loving, to think about taking her pet fish for a walk in the pond. She may have found this fish in the pond or brought her own fish from home, but this pet fish is very well loved and for certain he is getting his exercise for the day.

As you enjoy this video, take time to ponder the creativity of this child. It was a sweet and innocent thought that led her to do something kind and fun. God is the foundation of all creativity. He invites us to have childlike faith in Him. Jesus valued children on this earth and emphasized how we are to care for them and learn from them. As we watch this child, may it spark creativity and exploration within our own hearts and minds. We, too have the ability to be creative and playful as adults. We just have to take the time to press into our creative sides, too.
