I wrote this song one day after going on a hiking trip with a close friend of mine. Watching him with his daughter inspired and moved me. Although not bonded by blood, they are bonded by love. I admire how he loves her just the same.

I wrote this song one day, when I was thinking about how a parent would try and deal with loosing a child. I pray this song will help heal people who may have experienced just that.
