"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." To be meek we must put our "self" aside and attain a "turn the cheek" mentality which does not mean we are brutalized. This signifies that we are never deterred, distracted or detoured from God's plan for us. This is our "inheritance on earth" to live for Him according to His Will for us!

If you are a born‐again believer, what was the pitch that sold you on Jesus? If your experience was like that of most people, I assume your motives for surrendering your life to Jesus were self‐serving. Join the crowd. Most of us were sold on Jesus as a way to get out from under our guilt and shame. Or we had some other problem with no human solution.
But if we get stuck at this stage in our relationship with Jesus, we effectively gut the potential of our relationship with Him. If our faith in God is just about understanding how to get God to deliver us from our troubles, then we have truly missed out.

Tim LeBlanc happened to be awake at 2 am and decided to check on his 12-year-old daughter. That's when he discovered his daughter was gone and her window was open. His heart sank as he rounded the corner and found her in the arms of a child predator. Thankfully this dad got his daughter back and got the predator to the police! Parents please please hear this warning!

To try to walk by faith, and yet plan for any contingencies in case God doesn't deliver is a plan to wreck your faith. Imperfect products made by imperfect people require contingency plans. But God (and everything about God) is perfect, and no contingency plans are necessary.

Faith is the “belief or conviction of man's relationship to God and divine things.” Faith is what pleases God. Faith is the substance of the hope we have in God. Faith is the belief that God is. Faith is to know that God exists—to the extent that I am willing to risk anything and everything—and to walk by faith in Him, without any contingency plan.

Jacquelyn's daughter told her about a boy who lived across the street who was being bullied because he didn't have new shoes. So on her birthday this 13-year-old girl went through her closet to find a pair of shoes she could give him. And seeing the video of this sweet girl doing something so selflessly kind will move your heart!

Whatever the rock, dirt, or other debris that has separated you from the life you were meant to live cannot separate you from God, because the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord is not material—it is spiritual. In other words, you cannot be separated from God. You can only ignore Him.

If I'm sitting here in my office, buried under a pile of destructive thoughts and feelings, I can't escape my misery by trying to connect with God through positive thoughts and feelings. Yes, it is always good to seek positive experiences—but seeking positive experiences is not faith.
If I'm buried under anything, no matter where I go (physically or mentally), I will still be buried—until I realize where God is.
And He is here—in me, with me, surrounding me. Wherever I am, He is here. While my physical senses can't tell me this, faith tells me that He is here—right here, right now.
