The full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10​-18, consists of the following elements: 1 The belt of truth This represents living with integrity and being committed to God's truth, which holds all the other pieces of armor in place. 2 The breastplate of righteousness This protects the believer's vital organs, representing the righteousness that comes from Christ, which guards the heart against Satan's attacks. 3 The shoes of the gospel of peace These represent being prepared to advance the gospel message, which can overcome the obstacles satan places in our path. 4 The shield of faith This shield can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, representing the importance of having strong faith in God. 6 The helmet of salvation This protects the mind and thinking, keeping it focused on the hope of our eternal life in Christ. 7 The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God This is the only offensive weapon, representing the power of God's word to defeat temptation and spiritual attacks. The purpose of this full armor is to enable believers to stand firm against the devil's schemes and be spiritually victorious, as our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil.

Proclaiming the truths of our God is a very uplifting and life giving experience. Jesus Himself cautioned us to guard ourselves against the leaven of the Pharisees, in other words, guard ourselves against spiritual counterfeits. We are taught in God's word in Hebrews 10:31 "It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God!" That's a no brainer. God is holy, we are not holy. God is pure, we are not pure. God is good, we are not good. God is eternal, we are not (yet) eternal. God expresses eternal love, we express human love. God is perfect, we are not perfect. God has no sin, we still have sin. Fortunately for us, God does not look for our faults and failures. He sees us through the sacrifice of His son Jesus. He embraces us as His very own.
