This is song about my father and about his faith. Singing about the struggles of his life, with the hope that Jesus Christ will save him. He currently is dealing with stage 4 renal kidney failure, so me and him went on location and made this video for all to see. I am a songwriter from Accra, Ghana, where I was born and have been living all my life. I wrote God is On Your Side in 2023 and by September 6, 2024 it was recorded by Demo My Song, a US-based music production service. The song talks about God's proximity to us, and his desire for us to prosper in this life. However, only he can provide us with the good things we need in this life, without attaching any strings to them. Read Proverbs 10:22. After I composed the song, I needed money to record it. I did an extensive search for funding online and came by GiveSendGo, a crowdfunding site where I posted a video of myself singing the song. I waited for donations but had nothin. That was in March 2024. Then in June, GiveSendGo organized a giveaway contest where you had to record yourself commenting on the site. I did a video, though hesitant at first. By the Lord's divine grace, I won the contest! I was chosen as one of five winners and awarded a whooping sum of $1200! With some of that, I had this song recorded.
