PS22 Chorus Touching Rendition of Dionne Warwick’s ‘That’s What Friends Are For’

In a touching rendition of ‘That’s What Friends Are For,’ PS22 Cyrus honors Dionne Warwick’s music as well as the message of friendship. Through this moving and adorable performance, listeners can be reminded of the importance of friendship.

PS22 Chorus is a chorus group that has been singing at the Global Citizen Festival for years. Over ten years ago, PS22 had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Dionne Warwick, and she was their featured artist during their Women In History Month, where they learned two of Dionne’s songs. While we will have to wait for PS22 Chorus' second performance of one of Dionne’s songs, we can now enjoy their cover of “That’s What Friends Are For.”

The video is lively, energetic, and filled with childlike joy. Each child is passionate about ‘That’s What Friends Are For,’ and they give it their all. The watcher can tell that every child has a sense of belonging and purpose with the chorus, as each child wears their matching purple shirt. They are all friends and in this way, they are living out Dionne’s song. They will be there for one another when they fall and help them get back up again.

‘Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for’

Counting on one another gives us a sense of peace and comfort. To know that your friends have your back can help you face the day with confidence. Through PS22 Chorus’s rendition of ‘That’s What Friends Are For,’ we can be reminded of the comfort, peace, and security we have in our friends. In addition to our friends on this earth, we never need to forget Jesus as He is our greatest Friend and He will always have our back.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Contestant Wows 'American Idol' Judges with Whitney Houston Classic

‘American Idol’ contestant Sonny Tennet wows judges with his rendition of a Whitney Houston classic. He sings ‘I Have Nothing’ with great poise and emotion.

‘American Idol’ is known for highlighting natural talent and challenging contestants to reach out of their comfort zone. Sonny Tennet, a 25-year-old from South Shield, UK is a contestant on American Idol, who has been impressing the judges as well as the crowds. He has quickly become a fan favorite because of his attention to emotion and the way he can invoke emotions in his listeners.

‘I Have Nothing’ is a powerful song that can be hard to execute; however, Sonny handles the song with ease. He is confident in his singing and receives energy from the crowd. The video shows snapshots of Sonny’s life and him talking with Ryan Seacrest about the reason he chose to perform ‘I Have Nothing.’ Sonny sees Whitney as one of the best artists of all time and seeks to honor her through his own rendition of this song.

Sonny is aware that performing one of Whitney’s songs is a huge undertaking, but he wanted to stand out from the crowd. He thought performing one of Whitney’s songs would help the judges take notice of him and he was indeed well received. Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Lionel Richie are the judges this year on American Idol, and each of them approve of Sonny’s work as an artist.

‘I have nothing, nothing, nothing
If I don't have you, you, you, you, you’

Sonny sings with great conviction and passion. The emotion he puts into his songs makes him stand out from other contestants. While we don’t know who will win this year, we can be certain that Sonny is going places and will continue to perform great music, whether that be more covers or writing his own music.

Siblings Wow with Bob Dylan Classic 'Make You Feel My Love'

I just have to tell you about this moment I had listening to Life in 3D’s rendition of ‘Make You Feel My Love.’ You know how sometimes you hear a version of a song that just completely knocks you out? That’s what happened when I watched this performance. They weren’t in a studio or on a big stage with bright lights and fans—no, they were sitting together in their living room, dressed in t-shirts, singing just for the love of it. It felt so real, like you were right there with them, sharing the gorgeous melody and words of this love song.

Life in 3D—Daylon, Daura, and Devon—are siblings who have been singing together since they were kids. They grew up homeschooling, and in the middle of their day, they’d gather in the kitchen to sing. Or they would be doing different things, and when one sibling started singing, you’d hear the other two somewhere in the house harmonizing right along.

Can you imagine? The sound of three kids learning how to blend their voices, just enjoying music for the sake of it. I bet their mother is so proud of them.  Their parents poured everything into their music as youngsters, and that’s where it all started. And now, years later, they’ve kept that same spirit alive in their music. There’s something so magical about hearing them sing that way, so genuine and pure, and I love listening to them.

This version of ‘Make You Feel My Love’ is hands down one of the most beautiful I’ve ever heard. Their voices blend so perfectly, with every note carrying this sense of warmth and emotion. It’s raw and yet so powerful. You can feel the love in every word, and it reminds you of how music has this incredible way of connecting us to what really matters.

It might be my favorite version of that song. It’s not about the performance but the connection, the family, and the love that comes through so clearly.

Colossians 3:16  "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

4-Year-Old Delights with Adorable Violin Cover of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’

Protégée Nicholas Protsenko, a 4-year-old, performs an adorable violin cover of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.’ This is one performance you don’t want to miss.

On an outing with his family, Nicholas Protsenko was inspired to play the violin to an onlooking crowd. This was Nicholas’ first public performance. Like his older sister, Karolina Protsenko, he has a natural talent for music. Hailing from Kyiv, Ukraine, Nicholas has found his calling: to be a musician and bring happiness to those around him.

Nicholas has made significant impacts on people across the globe through his performance. Throughout the video, you can see many smiles of onlookers and how it brightened their day. Rather than simply walking through the promenade, onlookers had the privilege of listening to Nicholas’s violin cover of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” Although many of us believe “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” is an easy song to learn, it is a fantastic feat for a 4-year-old on a violin.

When the world tries to get us down, we need to remember these wonderful times. Even though we didn’t have the privilege of seeing Nicholas perform in real life, we can witness his performance through video. He brings happiness and joy into our lives when we need it the most. Nicholas’s performance also reminds us to be bold, confident, and brave when we try new things.

God is pleased when we are brave and try new things. Maybe we won’t be playing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” to a crowd, but He will have a unique plan for our life that only we can fulfill. Through children and adults alike God can bring hope to His people.

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these’” - Matthew 19:14

Woman Wows with Beautiful Cover of ‘What a Wonderful World’

While most of us have heard of Louis Armstrong, Anne Reburn wows with a beautiful cover of his song ‘What a Wonderful World.’ This song brings hope back into our hearts and inspires us to face the day.

‘What a Wonderful World’ was originally written by American trumpeter and vocalist Louis Armstrong in 1967. Since his original debut of ‘What a Wonderful World,’ the song has been seen as a classic. Over the decades, many people have done covers of this song, adding their own unique twist or vocal skills. Anne Reburn is someone who has posted a video of herself singing ‘What a Wonderful World,’ and it has received much positive feedback.

Rather than opting for a version with instruments, she chooses to sing ‘What a Wonderful World’ a capella. A capella is a version of a song where it is sung with no backing instruments. It is simply the person singing, which highlights the skill of their voice. Anne’s performance is beautifully executed and moves the listener. The power of her voice echoes her training and her passion for music.

‘The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, saying, ‘How do you do?’
They′re really sayin', ‘I love you’’

Beautifully written and sung, ‘What a Wonderful World’ helps us to see the good in the world again. Everything within the world was created by God and attests to His glory. One day, all things will be made perfect, and we truly will be living out the lyrics of “What a Wonderful World” in our everyday life. The beauty and wonder we see today are just a glimpse of the glory that will come.

“However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’—the things God has prepared for those who love him” - 1 Corinthians 2:9

The Beatles’ ‘Twist and Shout’ Gets Brilliant Violin Cover by Talented Teen

Karolina Protsenko, a 16-year-old, gives a brilliant violin cover of the Beatles 'Twist and Shout.’ Known for her unique work with the violin, she brings a new sound to ‘Twist and Shout.’

Talented teen covers the Beatles’ beloved song, ‘Twist and Shout.’ Her unique twist to this song is playing it on a violin with an energetic style. Although the Beatles did not originally write this song with violin backing, Karolina’s violin cover adds a new dimension to the song. Her version is full of energy and positivity, as shown by the video. She is joyful as she performs ‘Twist and Shout’ to onlookers.

Karolina is known for her impressive violin skills and has received widespread media attention for prior performances. ‘Twist and Shout’ is no exception as it shows her passion for the violin and performing in front of others. She is confident and truly finds happiness in her music. Her violin is truly part of her very heart.

Onlookers are overjoyed with her violin cover and are smiling ear-to-ear. As you watch the video, notice the smiles and joy in the eyes of the onlookers. Many onlookers go to this street to see Karolina and her brother, Nicholas Protsenko, perform. The entire family is blessed with musical talent and brings joy to those around them. Even if a person is not familiar with ‘Twist and Shout,’ Karolina’s cover will cause all people to get up and jump for joy.

Although Karolina does not verbally sing ‘Twist and Shout,’ her energy and violin playing bring soul to the performance. It is a lively rendition of the song that keeps the onlookers engaged. Even for those of us who can only see the performance at a distance on a screen, it brings energy into our everyday routines. Without a doubt, this lively tune will get stuck in your head, and you will be humming the song for the rest of the day.

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture” - Psalm 100:1-3

Must-Hear Cover of ‘Dancing Queen’ Delights

The classic song, ‘Dancing Queen,’ is performed by Sing it Live. An energetic and lively performance lightens the crowd and brings a new sound to ‘Dancing Queen’ in this must-hear cover.

‘Dancing Queen’ was originally written and released by ABBA. It has been a popular song for many years. Sing it Live is not the first band or performer to cover ‘Dancing Queen,’ as many other artists have performed their own renditions, such as Cher. Since “Dancing Queen” is a fan-favorite of ABBA fans, many other artists want to try their own hand at this classic piece.

Sing it Live is founded and produced by Darren Mullen. The artists within the band include Crafty, Stuart Day, Michael Marino, Damien Steele Scott, Tzan Niko, Mario Marino, Melissa McCaig, Nikki Heuskes, Chloe Castledine, Zkye Compson-Harris, Andy Seymour, Akasha Starr, Shaun Holton, Rachael Leahcar, Stefan Hauk, Tib Horvath, and Cameron Blokland. The two women singing ‘Dancing Queen’ in the video are Nikki Heuskes and Chloe Castledine. The duet performs ‘Dancing Queen’ with steadfast energy and zeal.

Their passion for music is shown by their vocal range and their desire to engage the audience. Many artists are not lively or energetic in their performances; however, Sing it Live normally brings power into the room. They want to ensure the crowd is uplifted and dancing with them. As we continue to watch the video, we will notice the crowd is excited, dancing, and moving along with Nikki Heuskes and Chloe Castledine.

A disco ball is hanging from the ceiling, and everything is set up for a dance party. Within Sing it Live’s performance of ‘Dancing Queen,’ everyone truly felt like their own dancing queen. This must-hear cover helps us to remember to relax and take time to truly enjoy ourselves. Dancing and singing along to our favorite songs might be just what our soul needs this week.

“Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp” - Psalm 149:3

Kolbi Jordan Gives Powerful ‘Amazing Grace’ Performance on 'American Idol'

In some moments, it feels like the veil between heaven and earth grows thin, and you can almost hear the angels lean a little closer. That's exactly what happened when Kolbi Jordan gave a powerful ‘Amazing Grace’ performance on ‘American Idol.’ Dressed in pure white — white pants, white shirt, and a cape scattered with flower petals — Kolbi didn’t just sing ‘Amazing Grace.’ She became a living, breathing proof of it. Her voice, a rich river of R&B, stirred with the spirit of a Sunday morning church service, poured out across the room, and hearts everywhere knew — God was in the house.

The judges, usually quick to comment, simply sat back with their eyes closed, letting the beauty of it wash over them like a baptism of sound. The whole room felt it — a holy hush falling, like dew settling quietly on a waiting field. This wasn’t just a TV show or entertainment; it became a moment of worship.

And the fans? Oh, they knew it too. The comment sections lit up with hallelujahs and tears:

"Tonight they had church on American Idol. God was in the house!! HALLELUJAH!!!" One fan wrote

Another added, "Wow, I don't think I've seen this side of American Idol! Beautiful."

"Best episode of American Idol to date. Hands down,” another fan wrote and we couldn’t agree more.

Kolbi’s voice carried a rare anointing — a sound that called to mind the strength of Aretha, the fire of Jennifer Hudson, and the soul of Patti LaBelle. As one commenter so perfectly said, "We have a legend in the making!"

And isn't that just like our God? To take a national stage known for flashy lights and make it a sanctuary. To use a young woman clothed in white — crowned with petals and purpose — to remind a nation of ‘Amazing Grace’ that still saves, still stirs, and still brings prodigals home.

This season of ‘American Idol’ is different. It’s not just entertainment anymore. It’s faith in action. It’s church. It’s hearts being drawn to the sound of redemption.

And through voices like Kolbi Jordan’s, it’s clear: Grace isn’t just a song we sing. It’s the anthem of heaven — and this year, it’s ringing louder than ever.

Psalm 40:3 "He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him."

Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood Lead Powerful ‘I Will Always Love You’ Performance

Check out this wonderful performance from country powerhouses like Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood of Dolly Parton’s song ‘I Will Always Love You.’ The country singers are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry, and hearing them all sing this iconic song on the Opry stage together is powerful! I’m sure they all made Dolly proud with this beautiful rendition!

‘If I should stay, well I would only be in your way
And so I'll go, and yet I know
I'll think of you each step of the way
And I will always love you, I will always love you’

Dolly Parton is a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry, but she was unable to make the 100th anniversary celebration. But she still left a sweet message in honor of the big milestone event.

“I am so sorry that I can’t be there with everybody in person, but of course you know my heart is with you. And my spirit is with you,” Dolly says in a video that was shared before the performance of ‘I Will Always Love You.’

“I wanted to be on the Grand Ole Opry my whole life when I was a little kid, cause that’s just what you do,” she continues. “You sing country music, that’s where you want to go, to the Grand Ole Opry. And I’m proud to say that my family, all the folks at the Opry, are very near and dear to me. And I have been a member of the Opry for 56 years! Over half of our anniversary, 100 years! So anyhow, everybody have a good time while we celebrate!”

The song ‘I Will Always Love You’ is one of Dolly Parton’s most iconic hits, and it was written in 1973 as a farewell to her business partner and mentor Porter Wagoner, expressing Dolly's decision to pursue a solo career.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this wonderful rendition of this beloved song today!

BGT Audience Member Stuns Everyone and Earns a Golden Buzzer

A Britain’s Got Talent audience member stunned everyone when he gave a Golden Buzzer-winning performance. No one was expecting that kind of an audition from him, considering he was sitting in the audience moments before his time on stage. Watch the short but awe-inspiring clip to see and hear the young man’s stunning performance.

It's been said that opportunity comes to those who wait. Yes, that happens; patience and waiting for things to develop and run their course are often good strategies. But there are also times when you must jump on the moment and seize the opportunity, the chance in front of you. You never know when it may come around again.

In a clip posted on YouTube, grabbing hold of the opportunity that lay in front of him is what one young man did on Britain’s Got Talent. Max Fox, a singer, was sitting in the studio audience when he started shouting. He repeatedly yelled at Simon Cowell, and Max eventually got the former American Idol judge’s attention.

He then explained that he had been trying to get in front of Simon for nearly two decades and had come up short every time. But seeing that he was mere feet away from Simon, Max wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass. After making his case, Max was given a chance to audition, but he had to wait until after a handful of less-than-stellar acts before him.

Finally, it was Max’s turn to take the stage and show the judges and the studio audience what he’s got. The 35-year-old singer delivered in a big way, giving a show-stopping performance of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”

It was fantastic!  The man who had waited nearly 20 years to show everyone what he could do earned a Golden Buzzer, and rightly so. The judges were blown away, most of all Simon Cowell, who continually asked if the whole thing was an elaborate setup.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Unique Take on ‘Come Together’ Wows

This unique take on the beloved song “Come Together” wows. You’ve likely never heard The Beatles’ classic tune performed this way. Watch this short and delightful clip to listen to the musicians’ unique take on “Come Together,” a song loved by many.

The Beatles are one of the most iconic and influential bands of all time. Many would argue, and probably correctly, that they are the greatest, most talented band in music history. Yes, that’s a massive statement, but can you name another band or musician that has shaped music as much as the four lads from Liverpool?

Their music is still regularly heard and recognized decades after they broke up. Whenever one of their unforgettable songs is played, everyone within earshot instantly and instinctively starts singing along. Their songs are widely known and beloved by nearly every generation.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Erik Grönwall performs “Come Together.” He typically sings hard rock music, and his cover of the tune originally written and performed by Paul, John, George and Ringo comes with his unique take and sound. It’s most certainly very different from The Beatles’ original; that much is clear within the opening seconds of his cover.

But who wants covers that are nothing but carbon copies of the original? That is boring, and why even cover a song if you’re not going to make it your own in some way? Unless the cover is absolutely horrible and completely ruins the original, there is nothing wrong with changing things up a little.

Erik’s cover of this classic song is fantastic! Even diehard fans of The Beatles will likely find this updated, modern take on “Come Together” incredibly enjoyable.

This is one cover that deserves to be heard several times!

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Awe-Inspiring A Cappella Performance of U2’s Greatest Hits

Don’t miss this awe-inspiring a cappella performance of U2’s greatest hits! Okay, friend. Let me paint this picture for you. A guy. A mic. Four bare walls. No band. No fancy set. No glitter or glam. Just a T-shirt, a leather jacket, and a voice that sounds like it came straight from heaven.

That’s Jared Halley. And his a cappella performance of U2’s greatest hits? Whew. It’s the kind of thing that makes you stop mid-scroll, close your eyes, and let yourself feel something again, like goosebumps-down-your-arms, tears-in-your-eyes kind of good.

This 34-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, is a one-man show in the most incredible way. He records every harmony, every beat, every layer with nothing but his own voice and some serious Holy Spirit anointing. And you’ll be grooving in your seat!

And somehow, when he sings classics like ‘With or Without You,’ ‘Beautiful Day,’ and ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,’ it hits differently. Like he’s not just singing a song—he’s singing your story. My story and for all of us who’ve felt a little lost, a little undone, a little hopeful anyway.

He makes you believe again.

Believe that we’re all searching for something more. That there’s beauty to be found right here, right now. God can use even the simplest things—a voice, a mic, a willing heart—to wake the world up.

And girl, if that doesn’t give you chills, I don’t know what will.

U2’s lyrics have always captured the ache and wonder of life in this way. But when Jared sings them stripped down and soul-deep, you hear the message loud and clear: We were made for more. And God wastes nothing—not the longing, not the waiting, not even the hard parts that feel like dust.

That’s exactly what Jared is doing. He’s using what he’s got—and letting God multiply it. No spotlight needed. Just a heart on fire and a song worth sharing.

So here’s your reminder today, friend: You don’t need a stage to show up with your gift. You don’t need perfect circumstances to make something beautiful. You just need to say yes. Like Jared did. Like maybe you can too.

Because life is short and time is moving fast. But your voice? Your gift? It still matters. It still counts.

So go ahead—watch the video. Let the music stir your soul. And then go live your life like it’s your own kind of song.

1 Peter 41:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.”

Mother-Daughter ‘That’s Life’ Duet Stuns on BGT

Some moments just wrap around your heart and don’t let go—and this is one of them. A mother-daughter duo ‘That’s Life’ duet stuns on BGT and you’ve got to watch it!

Hollie and Emma, a mother-daughter duo, stepped onto the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ stage and did something that brought the whole room to their feet. They weren’t flashy. They didn’t need confetti or special effects. All they brought was their story, their bond, and their voices… and that was more than enough.

The song? Frank Sinatra’s ‘That’s Life.’The performance? Unforgettable.

Emma, 46, and Hollie, 26, sang like they were born to do it together. Their voices—rich, soulful, and soaked in experience—danced together in perfect harmony. It wasn’t just a song; it was a story. Their story. A story about rising and falling and rising again. About motherhood. About dreams that never die.

“You were singing it with the swing phrasing, but the delivery was total R&B.” Judge KSI chimed in too, echoing what everyone felt: “You both just blew us away,” Bruno commented.  And it wasn’t just about the music. It was about the why.

Before they sang, Hollie shared that she grew up watching her mom sing and dreamed of following in her footsteps. You could see the admiration in her eyes. And when they were asked what they’d do with the prize money if they won? Emma said she’d divide it among her kids, and Hollie quietly said she’d give her share right back to her mom. Oh, my heart.

It was a beautiful reminder that love is generational. That dreams don’t have expiration dates. That sometimes the most powerful moments don’t come from perfection—they come from connection. This duet wasn't just entertainment. It was legacy. It was grit. It was grace wrapped in melody.

So if you need a lift today—if you need a reason to believe that something beautiful can still rise from ordinary places—watch Hollie and Emma sing. Watch a mother and daughter remind the world that no matter how many times life knocks you down, love and music have the power to pull you right back up.

Because that’s life.
And this?
This was magic.

Psalm 127:3 “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”

Band's Lovely Cover of ‘Islands in the Stream’

One of the most beloved girl-guy duets has to be ‘Islands in the Stream,’ and this video features a lovely cover of the 1983 classic. Performed by the Hindley Street Country Club (HSCC), this rendition of the Dolly-and-Kenny hit, now over forty years old, will have you floating along on a cool, clear memory. Enjoy!

If you’re not yet familiar with HSCC, it might surprise you to know that this group, performing a tune recorded by two American country music superstars, is from Australia. Founded in 2017 by Constantine Delo of Adelaide, Australia, the group of twelve has been called “the greatest cover band in the world.” Constantine, by the way, is the sleeveless, buff bassist who strides across the stage at the start of the video and makes his way back to the right midway through.

Featuring Kate Jade and Danny Lopresto, the performance includes 10 of the band’s members. A couple of their female members sit this one out, and Kate sings on behalf of the ladies. In line with their goal of presenting “thinking man’s pop,” HSCC exudes a chill, sophisticated vibe. All are clad in black, with the exception of the lead male singer. Danny wears a white jacket and pants, and Kate sparkles in a shimmering black top, skirt, and boots.

Kate and Danny harmonize wonderfully, and, while Dolly and Kenny’s chemistry may be hard to replicate, the two certainly seem to be having a great time together. They sound amazing, and the saxophone solo at 2:50 is a treat as well.

Even if HSCC is new to you and me, they’ve already amassed 1.28 million subscribers to their YouTube channel, where they’ve uploaded 452 videos! Commenters love the performance and HSCC. With admiration and love from Japan, Brasil, Chile, Austria, Albania, and many other spots around the globe, this group is on fire! And, honestly, their home country-continent is a pretty big piece of real estate!

Lest we forget, this incredible cover of an iconic original recording was made possible by the writers of ‘Islands in the Stream’—Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, The Bee Gees. Good music lives on, and delights listeners for generations!

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” Proverbs 3:3

Band Nails Classic Journey Hit ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ in Epic Cover

Check out this band of ten as they nail Journey’s classic ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’with their epic cover of the OG’s 1981 hit! You may find yourself singing, dancing, and wanting to get to know this fun group better!

Journey has recorded so many amazing chart-topping songs, but ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ is generally considered to be the most beloved of them all. Recorded after Steve Perry joined the band and during their most successful years, ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ was inspired by a telephone conversation that Jonathan Cain had with his father.

The Chicago native called his dad from Hollywood at a point when he wasn’t sure his dream of becoming a famous musician would ever come to pass. When he asked his father if he should quit and return home, his dad advised him, “Don’t stop believing.” What a wise man he was!

With that piece of inspiration, Jonathan, along with Journey members Steve Perry and Neal Schon, wrote the song in a day, and it became “one of the greatest rock classics in the history of American music.”

Here are the first iconic lines from ‘Don’t Stop Believin’:’

‘Just a small-town girl, livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin' anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train goin' anywhere’

September In The Park covers Journey’s hit in fine style. Keyboardist Glen Carvin plays the perfect piano introduction, and Ashley Zimmerman sings the first unforgettable strains. Then, at 45 seconds, Steve delivers an incredible guitar solo, reminiscent of that musical era, and it concludes with a big bang by Melly on the drums. What a fabulous start to an amazing performance!

This exciting group can be booked for a variety of events, and wouldn’t that be a blast! They bring listeners back to the 80s with Journey’s timeless tale of perseverance and determination to achieve one’s dreams. Here’s hoping that September In The Park doesn’t stop making music anytime soon!

“Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.” 2 Thessalonians 1:4

Stunning Duet of ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’

These young musicians wow with their stunning duet of “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” The ladies’ rendition of the beloved John Denver classic is outstanding. Check out the short but delightful clip to hear this stunning duet of “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

Country and folk music is not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s a genre in which song lyrics put a lot of focus and emphasis on living on the farm, one’s truck and one’s trusty, loyal dog – those three topics cover a lot of country songs. Not everyone can connect with and relate to those subjects and topics. Some people will and do despise those songs, while others can’t get enough of them.

However, some songs are such classics that they transcend genre. Even people who generally hate a particular kind of music will enjoy these tunes. One of those songs universally loved by all music fans is “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. How else do you explain its continued popularity? It’s still played and has been covered by nearly everyone imaginable.

A clip posted on YouTube features two more musicians covering the beloved tune. The two young women beautifully perform the song, wonderfully singing the lyrics initially written and performed by the late John Denver.

It also doesn’t hurt that “Take Me Home, Country Roads” has one of the most memorable choruses ever. It’s so catchy; hear it once, and it’s in your head for the rest of the day.

“Country Roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads”

Whether you enjoy country/folk music or not, “Take Me Home, Country Roads” is a masterfully written song. It’s a short and straightforward tune about longing to be home – the place we know and love. It’s a universal theme with which all can identify and relate.

Proverbs 3:33 “The curse of the Lord is on the house of the evildoer, but his blessing is on the tent of the upright.”

Slater Nalley Shines on American Idol With 'Over the Rainbow’ Cover

“Over the Rainbow,” written for and originally performed by the legendary Judy Garland as Dorothy in the 1939 film “Wizard of Oz,” has endured throughout the decades. It’s a classic everyone knows and loves. Everyone within earshot will likely begin singing along when it starts playing.
