At times cliche, but this project will appeal to West’s fans as another concept album that
values the stories of men and women who have weathered life just as we
all have.
Jason Gray is perhaps best known for personal yet relatable songs, but
the heartbeat of this album is a narrative approach, entering the
characters and bringing each player to life.
Fearless shows a more purposeful side at times with a solid
message, while still carrying those fun house party joints that we've
come to expect from Group 1 Crew ("He Said").
These pure and stripped-down recordings aren't nearly as minimalistic as
acoustic sessions can be expected to be, but the lack of shimmering, glossy
production give them a more intimate worship experience.
