Song Descriptions:

No One Greater -- This song is one I wrote on my family mission trip to Guatemala. It describes how there are Christians all over the world praising the same awesome God, but they are using many different -- Ways of Praise.

Morning Prayer -- Recently while I was training for my first triathlon and the words of this historic prayer of the church really inspired me.

Christ Confirms -- This song is one I wrote for our junior high youth when they made a Sunday morning public profession of their faith. Our church sang it on Reformation Day, confessing our faith boldly and reminding us of the bold confessions of the church leaders before us.

Don't Forsake -- A song of confession ...and absolution.

Taste of Your Presence -- This song reminds us of how God comes to us in the Lord's Supper and gives us a taste of His love and forgi

This is a song we wrote for our CD 'All This Time'. During November, we're offering "Way of Love" as a free download to support our friends at the Type One Diabetes Foundation (www.TODF.org), so go to our website to get the song and to make a donation to this wonderful help group. They are dedicated to building a lasting local support system in every community around the nation for those living with Type 1 Diabetes. Type 1 Diabetes is an unpreventable autoimmune disease that strikes children and young adults. Proper eating plans and exercise cannot cure or reverse Type 1. Just to stay alive they must check their blood sugar 8-10 times a day, count every carb they eat and take accurate insulin injections everyday to manage their blood sugars. It is tiring and very overwhelming at times. Without the education and encouragement they need to live successfully with Type 1 Diabetes, the consequences are very severe. The Type One Diabetes Foundation is all about local support today until a cure can be found one day. We hope you enjoy the song. Caring for our neighbors, friends and families in our local communities truly is the way of love.

Philippe wrote 'Teach Us Lord' while he was leading worship at a church in California, after hearing the news that the mother of the backup singer in the band was diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer. Without explaining the reason behind the song, he introduced it to the youth group and the church. One day, as he was practicing piano, playing the song and praying for the family of the singer, Philippe received a text from her. The singer wanted him to send her the complete words of the song, as her family had spend part of the day singing it around the sickbed of her mother. He had written the song thinking of them yet never telling them, and now at the most important time God was using it to encourage them; only a few hours later, the mother went to be with her Savior. The daughter sings with Philippe on the recording.
The music video is also based on a true story of another girl in the youth group who struggled with an auto-immune disorder and lost the ability to walk without help, using the aid of a wheelchair or a walker. This drew her to pray for others, and for others to pray for her as well, until God gave her strength to walk again, at the surprise of many. By God's grace she has not had to use a wheelchair for over 2 years, is now married and a happy mother.
