All the trappings of shopping for gifts, Santa Claus, Father Christmas, and gift-giving are all metaphors for God giving the world his son to fulfill the scriptures.
My prayer is that through this song people will embrace the true holy spirit of Christmas, start their journey to read the bible with the Christmas story in Luke or Matthew, and give their life to Christ to find true joy that will last throughout the year. “Hallelujah, Jesus Christ!”
