Presence Music has released “Fight or Flight,” an emotionally honest Christian pop single that gives voice to anxiety, exhaustion and the pressure to hold everything together when life becomes too much.

Written by Leah Monson and produced by Tyler Moody, “Fight or Flight” captures the tension of living in survival mode — the sleepless nights, racing thoughts, physical fatigue and quiet fear that can come when people keep showing up for everyone else while feeling depleted themselves.

The song was born from a breaking point in Monson’s life while traveling, raising two young children, supporting a working husband and continuing to carry the weight of everyday responsibilities. Rather than turn that moment into a polished prayer, she chose to tell the truth.

“Honestly? I was just done. I’m on the road, my husband’s working, we’ve got two little ones, and I’m trying to hold everything together and still show up. One night I just broke. Instead of a nice, pretty prayer, it was just, “God, I am not fine.” I think a lot of moms are living that and nobody’s saying it out loud. So I did,” says Leah Monson of Presence Music.

Instead of rushing toward an easy resolution, “Fight or Flight” lingers in the honesty of the moment. The song makes room for listeners to admit where they truly are without shame or spiritual pretense, reminding them that God is near even before everything feels resolved.
