Star Wars: The Force Awakens not only brings back beloved characters from episodes IV through VI, but it accomplishes something even more important for the franchise's future: it introduces a group of distinctly memorable principal characters who will be crucial to the next two films.

Having now seen In the Heart of the Sea, I lean toward the more negative interpretation. In the Heart of the Sea isn't outright bad so much as it is—if you'll pardon the pun—underwhaleming.

Despite this rich and complex resource, The Letters doesn't come close to taking advantage of its namesake. Its portrayal is pretty straightforward, its surprises more biographical than spiritual.

‘God’s Not Dead 2’ is adding another familiar name to its already impressive cast. Gov. Mike Huckabee has just announced he will be making an appearance, as himself, in the faith-based film.

The film somehow takes the mediocre text of the book and elevates it to a top notch film.  If you have never read the books but only amerced yourself in the movie franchise you will engage with this one from the first frame.

Although it improves as it goes, Love the Coopers digs a deep enough hole early on that, by the time it manages to dig itself out, it’s hard to know if the effort was worthwhile.
