John 3:16“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
• Becoming a believer is a fact of will….yours

o Receiving forgiveness of our sins • It is the simple things that complicate the brains ability to believe
I heard this version of this old hymn on a CD called "Hymns 4 Worship".It's also on a CD called "A Musical Tribute To C.S. Lewis", and a CD compiled by John Schneider called "Communion" I could find out very little about the singer, Ruut Sallinen. She has a lovely voice, but I could not find out any information about her, other than one vague reference to a connection withh Maranatha Singers.
Anyway, this is a very old hymn, written by Joseph Hart in 1759. The song is usually sung at a brisker pace than this version, almost sprightly. I like the haunting mood of this version. Sure wish I could find more of Ruut's music. Anyone out there know anything more about her?
Never heard of this group until just the other day. This is a real catchy tune by the husband and wife team of Jodi King and Chris Rademaker, from Winnipeg, Manitoba. This song is from their self-titled album, and it was co-written by them along with their producer Seth Mosley.
Not a real deep message, but one that is always encouraging to hear over and over. No matter what we are going through, no matter how distant God may seem to be, he is *always* with us. That's a promise. What were Jesus' last words in Matthew? "Lo, I am with you, even to the end of the ages." That's a promise.

The Daily Pulse (Saturday, September 14, 2013): For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14 (NIV)
The man trapped in this car probably clenched to every bit of hope he had of being rescued. That hope was not in vain because at just the right moment God send help to save this man's life.
At four years old this precious girl had visions of heaven and Jesus. She wanted to paint the images that she saw, and when she did they were a true spectacle. Her gift was surely from God. Although she did not have all of the heavenly colors in her palatte, she created masterpieces that were soon to win her mother's heart for Jesus.
After they endured the loss of their first child, this mom to be had a huge surprise to tell her husband. His surprise and warm embrace will be remembered by their family forever.
The Daily Pulse (Friday, September 13, 2013): “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." Matthew 10:34 (NIV)
A mother and her six-year old daughter found themselves trapped on top of their car during a terrible hail storm. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan, Merele, came to rescue them. He went out of his way to get this mother and daughter into safety.
With God all things are possible! When Jesus gave a vision to a woman, he wanted her to show the world what she saw. Without any previous skills she sculpted a masterpiece of Jesus in agony on the cross. This riveting imagery will leave you in tears at the sacrifice that Jesus paid for our sins.
