I never expected God to save me. Nick became the young man that every parent wants to see their child become. Nick was saved by God's grace, love and mercy just 3 months before he left this world. Although he was an inspiration to those who knew him; his kindness, work ethic and fun loving spirit... in his last months; God laid me on his heart. Here is the last text that I ever received from Nick...: "April and I are getting baptized next Sunday and our church is praying for you; we love you and you can start denying yourself and get back to Gods plan for you, it's never too late."... It didn't even register in my mind, (at the time) that Nick had just told me he had been saved... I had lost my way and my feet had taken me places I never dreamed that I'd find myself. After Nick's death in an auto accident, I had a choice to make; self-destruction or surrender my life into the hands of our Savior Jesus Christ. I chose the latter; or should I say... the Holy Spirit reached out to me and drew me to the Heavenly Father through Christ. Now, Jesus has changed my life and my family's forever.. He paid a debt that I never could and has brought Hope and Healing beyond what I could have ever of expected. See ya in Heaven Nikki-boy and thanks for your prayers and all the great memories we will all cherish for the rest of our days.

Insight: With passages from Psalm 55, elemental ripples and reflections introduce photos of a stream as it flows under a bridge where pigeons take shelter from the weather and traffic above. They emerge into the air as the water also flows into the landscape. Just past the shadows, the stream fills a sunny quiet pool, but you cannot see the pool unless you pass through the tunnel. The contrasting surroundings on the 2 sides of the bridge is a contemporary interpretation of the verse about the dove flying into the peace of the wilderness.

Insight: Verses from Psalm 33 are illustrated by space dust transforming into an imaginary celestial body, which then appears as a moon in a forest wetland setting.

Insight: This video quotes the verse in Revelation, which could be a sermon theme, but the stream photos included also allude to consciousness itself and exploration of the submerged versus visible in ourselves...as well as absolution and renewal. The water and rocks shape each other and such stones could be obstacles or help (as when David searched for just the right ones to defeat the giant). The pastor may want to explain the appearance of a Greek word and how it and others meaning forgiveness are used in various references, also the role of white and black stones in ancient trials.

Insight: These verses have a theme of seeking God, through a visual symbol of entering a gate, then seeing partially through the thorny grate of our imperfections, to views beyond representing the peace and bounty we are reaching for through obedience. There is a brief pause, then closure with a verse also beseeching God to search for us, with pastures and animal scenes to show how the psalmist felt we must appear in His eyes.

Insight: The parable of the seed falling into various conditions is interpreted using an example of sunflowers. They are a useful and familiar crop to people, but they are also related to the thistles in the parable. Both are in the same family of plants, and both feed birds and insects. While a part of the sermon might mention that no part of nature is actually bad, Jesus is pointing out the risks along the way to growing what is most valuable - or intentional- inside of us.
After young Braden lost his battle with a brain tumor, his family decided to honor him by appearing at his funeral as the super heroes he loved so much on Earth. This one will touch you.

Graduating student gave commencement address at a public university, giving glory to Jesus Christ. When the student thanked Jesus, the packed arena of thousands of people gave the most resounding response. This is encouraging that even at a public institution, people appreciate when God is given the glory. Many people have said how inspired and encouraged they were that a student gave a speech going back to traditional, family values, and turning it back to God--which is refreshing, especially in today's day and age.

Insight: From the sermon on the mount, there is a quote where Jesus shows his crowds the abundance of God's provisions in illustrating that they need to temper the human tendency of being overly worried about the future. It is believed by botanists that the flowers may have been more like red anemones, certainly not our familiar white cultivated Easter lilies. This short visualization uses abstract colors of nature at the beginning and switches to wild day lilies to combine the language of our translations with the colors that probably were in the fields of scripture.
This features some well known and lesser known quotations related to following the guidance of God, using changing forms of mountains for visual background. Mountains are not only settings for many special biblical events that could be a sermon theme (ie. transfiguration, Sermon on the Mount) but they change over time from the power of God. Lightening is used to represent His creative energy behind all we see. We continue to speak of the "peaks and valleys" in our own lives to this day. The loop uses subtle colors and should work in any season for any portion or all of the length, on a main or side projector, with or without your own music. Designed to loop.
