They do not have the fullness of God and have sought temporary satisfaction in the world. A person must be poor in spirit. You cannot give someone something they do not want to receive. Those who mourn over their sins will receive forgiveness! The battle of the Christian is to resist the Devil and wrestle against wickedness. In order to do this one must live in the world but not become like the world. We are to conquer not be conquered! In order to overcome one must find their strength in Christ.
