Alison Thompson responded to the September 11th attacks on rollerblades. Fourteen years later she is now serving the refugees on the beaches in Greece.
The stories she shares are heartbreaking and inspiring. She took time to talk with us on the beaches and tell us some of what she has seen.

In our culture here in the United States, we enter into relationships with our brain set on silent, and we exit relationships at the first sign of trouble. It is in this environment of such low expectations of ourselves and of others that we try to have high expectations of God. It is in this environment that we try to have faith in God. It is with a mind full of human failures that we try to understand faith in God. And so we contaminate our expectations of God with our human experience. But God doesn't operate with any of our human weaknesses.
