Where is God? Ep 1: Even the Most Faithful

Tornadoes, hurricanes, racial tension, earthquakes and NOW, the Las Vegas shooting. It's just too much. While all these battles rage externally, I'm also aware that we each are figthting storms in our own personal lives. Let's face it. Our Facebook feeds are highlight reels. Once someone starts sharing "sad stuff" (aka what's really going on in their lives) people have a fit because life is supposed to always be fun all the time. You say, "social media is my escape and I don't have time for your sh*t PLUS my own stuff." Ha!

It's uncomfortable, I get it. But you know what else is uncomfortable? These NFL players bending their knees. Yet, people are talking about race more than ever before. Nothing of worth every comes from staying comfortable and remaining complacent. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

I've experienced first hand what ignored pain, the kind of suffering that is pushed to the side and never ever faced, can do to someone. We can pretend all we want (traveling, shopping, partying, drinking, sexing) but pretending eventually catches up with you. That deep rooted pain has the power to not only hurt and possibly destroy the life of the victim...but also the victim's friends, family, relationships, the list goes on. You know the saying, "Hurt people, hurt people"? It couldn't be any truer.

"Where is God" features stories that we can possibly see ourselves in and maybe, just maybe, find healing.
