Arizona mom Maria MacKeigan had never met a person with Down syndrome until she gave birth to her daughter, Jordan Grace MacKeigan. After finding out that she would be giving birth to a child with Down syndrome, Maria was full of emotions.
“I was so scared about it because I didn’t know how our lives would turn out. And I thought that we would be locked in a room and we wouldn’t be able to take her out and it’s the complete opposite.” But all of her worries quickly disappeared after Jordan was born and Maria realized how much brighter life was going to be. In fact, Jordan inspired her photographer mom in an incredible way.
Jordan loved to have her picture taken, but Maria noticed that all the kids you see on commercials or in magazines looked nothing like her daughter. She wanted to make sure that anyone with a disability felt included and beautiful. That is when she paired up with Changing the Face of Beauty, which is a nonprofit organization that advocates for inclusive imagery in media. Maria organized her own photo shoot and invited any child with a disability to come out and have their picture taken.
Afterwards, the pictures could be sent to modeling and advertising agencies around the country. You can see from all of the smiling faces that these children are having the most amazing time. Maria’s mission is so inspiring and it is amazing to see what she is doing to normalize Down syndrome.

All of God’s creatures are truly amazing. There’s no doubt that He put so much time and thought into each animal and they all bring something unique to this Earth.
One of the most regal animals of them all is the elephant. Sometimes, people look at elephants as big and scary but they can also be some of the most calm and gentle creatures you will ever meet. At times, they can even take on human traits. All of these words and more could accurately describe Faa Mai, an elephant at the Elephant Nature Park. She may look large and intimidating, but this sweet girl has a heart of gold.
Recently, she was exploring her surroundings when she came across a cat in the park. This furry feline looks so tiny compared to the majestic elephant, but Faa Mai couldn’t help but notice the little cat. And the only thing this huge creature wanted to do was play with the cat.
Just watch as Faa Mai continues to try and get closer to the furry friend and get his attention. She walks back and forth and even kicks up some dirt trying to coerce this tiny cat into playing with her. But despite all of her best efforts, the feline is perfectly content just watching the elephant.
It’s obvious that Faa Mai is just a kid at heart and it’s so adorable to watch her interact with other animals. And maybe one day, after some warming up, this cat with want to play with Faa Mai too.
When you are a firefighter, you never know what your day will be like. Things can change in an instant and you have to be ready to help. While you normally expect a firefighter to battles flames, sometimes they assist with other calls too. And that is exactly what happened recently to the Belleville Fire Department in Illinois.
A 66-year-old man was taking a walk with his bird when the unthinkable happened. The parrot became stuck in the mud of recently dredged lake. When the owner saw his beloved bird in distress, he did not hesitate to go in after him. But that is when the man also became stuck in the mud and could not climb out on his own.
Thankfully, he was able to call for help and someone called the fire department and they quickly arrived on scene. These amazing men used a ladder to create a makeshift bridge in order to safely rescue the man and his parrot. It was definitely an unusual rescue but firefighters say that the bird was calm the entire time.
This feathery friend was perfectly content on his owner’s arm as the crew worked to bring them both to safety. Overall, both the man and his bird were unharmed but crewmembers warn that this situation could’ve had a very different ending. Left without help, the man might have suffered from heat exhaustion or worse. Thankfully, everyone is all right and now this fire department has quite the unique rescue story to share.

Whales are one of the most majestic creatures that God has placed on this earth. In fact, the blue whale is the largest creature that’s ever lived. It’s truly an amazing sight to see these incredible animals in their natural habitat and that’s why whale watching has become so popular over the years.
People will take cruises or boats to see all different species of whales and capture once-in-a-lifetime memories. That’s exactly what happened to this family on a recent trip to Australia. They went on a whale watching adventure in Port Macquarie and came face to face with the most amazing scene. They noticed a whale in the distance, so everyone had their cameras ready. As they waited see the whale resurface, the entire boat was stunned when the whale jumped out of the water right in front of the tour. And when the whale launched back into the water, he did it with a huge splash.
Everyone on the boat was soaked but still grinning from ear to ear at this rare sighting. It was truly a special moment and this cameraman was able to capture every second of it on film. God’s creatures never cease to amaze me. He truly put so much time and thought into every tiny detail about the animals on this earth and it is incredible to witness. I bet these sightseers had no clue they were going to have a whale-watching experience like this. Who else wishes that they could’ve been there in person?
When we are children, the world seems a lot less scary. We are more open to new things and we love making new friends. If you’ve ever raised or been around a toddler, you know just how easily they can find a best friend on the playground or at daycare. It seems like with just a few sentences, young people can become friends. But as the years go by, it becomes harder and harder to make new friends. We start to get shy, embarrassed or distracted by the world around us.
The people at the Campaign To End Loneliness found that over half of adults in the UK say it’s been a long time since they made a new friend or connection. At a recent trip to a coffee shop, you can see numerous adults sitting by themselves. So the researchers decided to send in the experts to answer the question ‘Have we forgotten how to make friends?’ That’s when these children show up and do not hesitate to start a conversation. They immediately start to ask all kinds of questions and build a relationship with these previously guarded people.
Children are the perfect example of not hesitating to start something new and connecting with those around them. And when these adults start opening up, you can truly see the change in their personality. What a great reminder that when we take a chance, it can turn into a beautiful thing. Talented musician Daniel Jang plays this classic tune on the violin and his cover truly gives the song a whole new feel and it’s so amazing. It’s obvious this young man has so much talent and it all comes through with this beautiful performance.
It’s not everyday that we get to see or hear an Elvis cover that is this good. I’m sure this took Daniel a lot of time and practice to perfect, but he pulls it off seamlessly. Every single note is spot on and it looks completely effortless. I love hearing unique covers of well-known songs and how they can completely transform the feeling. There is no doubt that animals are truly a gift from God. He has placed creatures all over this Earth and some are just absolutely breathtaking. I do not think it gets any more majestic than the elephant. These incredible animals may look big and scary sometimes, but most of them have a heart of gold. But, when you are traveling in an area with wild animals, you never know what is going to happen.
Animals can be completely unpredictable and that's exactly what happened in this case of this elephant. Guests at the Mhondoro Lodge in South Africe were in for the surprise of their lives while they were relaxing in the hotel pool. Tour guide Ivan Ueckermann spotted an elephant herd approaching the hotel, so he decided to grab his camera and start recording the moment. He had no clue that it was going to be such a memorable time. Just watch as a curious elephant walks right up to the pool and puts his trunk in to get a drink. There’s even guests in the water at the time.
I can’t imagine what it’s like to come face to face with these incredible creatures but I bet it’s a memory that none of these guests will ever forget. I can’t believe someone was able to film this entire encounter. It just goes to show that you never know what it going to happen in the wild. What a sight to behod. ‘What Would You Do?’ is a hidden camera show hosted by John Quiñones that puts strangers in difficult circumstances and records how they react. The reactions can range from person to person but it's always interesting to watch and see what they do or say. The dilemmas are always relevant to the current times and sometimes, they have actually happened in real life.
This particular episode was inspired right from the headlines. Recently, a mother and father took their adult son to court to try and force him out of their house where he lived rent-free. Today, this scenario is played out at a local restaurant with a set of actors playing the parts of the parents and son.
This mother and father think that it’s time for the 30-year-old to move out and they’re letting him know over lunch. The son’s reaction is very strong and other customers in the restaurant can’t help but take notice. But it’s when the parents exit that the man’s true feelings really come out and he remarks to the strangers that he wants to continue living for free and coasting off of his parents. The patron’s reactions range from giving the young man life advice to completely agreeing with the parents that it’s time to move out.

Bill Hart is a motivational speaker who travels the country speaking on the topic of mortgages and the real estate industry. Bill was with a friend at California Pizza Kitchen when he noticed an elderly woman dining with her daughter and grandkids. That’s when he heard a voice in his head to go over and tell the woman how pretty she looked. A lot of people would’ve ignored this bizarre feeling, but Bill decided to follow that voice. As he was leaving the restaurant, he passed by the woman and kneeled down.
Then, he said, ‘Hey, if nobody else has told you yet today, I just want you to hear from me how lovely you are.” A strange look came over the woman’s face before she told Bill that husband had died a year ago and that is exactly something he would say to her. The two were both overcome with emotion and embraced in the sweetest hug. Bill left the restaurant but he believes that moment came from God and He gave Bill the ‘shoulder tap’ that blessed the woman. These shoulder taps happen in our lives and it’s so important to listen to that voice because you never know where it will lead.
