Giving Mob Surprises Couple Battling Cancer

A giving mob of over 400 people helped out a couple currently battle cancer. Ed and Liz were unsure of how they were going to pay for treatment when Ed was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He is self-employed and because of some of the side effects, he was unable to work. When the kind folks at PRAYnksters heard about the couple, they immediately put a plan in motion to help them out. So, one night, Ed and Liz thought they were going to their son’s Boy Scouts award ceremony but it so much more than that. The Boy Scouts had just finished up a pumpkin sale and the couple had lent the troop their trailer. They were called up to the front to get an award of thanks. That’s when people started to pour into the room to shower Ed and Liz with monetary donations, gifts and lots of love and support. The couple was overwhelmed with the outpouring from the community. In total, over 400 people participated in the giving mob to assistance Ed and Liz with their cancer battle. What an incredible display of the true spirit of the Lord and helping those in need. I know this couple will never forget the kindness they experienced and I hope that they continue the chain of love. We’re all praying for this family during this difficult season. Romans 13:8 “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.”

Michael Buble On Praying During His Son's Cancer Battle

Modern-day crooner Michael Buble opens up on praying during his son’s battle with cancer. In 2016, Michael and his wife, Luisana, found out that their oldest son Noah had been diagnosed with liver cancer. They broke the news on Facebook and Michael put his career on hold so that they could start treatment right away. The pair wrote in their online post, ‘We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well.’ It was never a question for Michael and his wife to step away from the spotlight. He described the situation by saying, ‘There is no choice. It was, take care of business, come together as a family, put your head down, pray lots and just survive.” During Noah’s treatment, the couple also asked for prayers the outpouring of love that followed was bigger than anyone could’ve ever imagined. Michael’s fans rallied around the singer, writing positive thoughts on social media and even sending him handwritten letters. The family put their faith in God and the most amazing thing happened next. Noah’s cancer was gone. He was able to undergo surgery where doctors were able to remove the tumor completely. Now, Michael is back to performing, but with a renewed sense of what is truly important in life. What an incredible story of faith, family and the miracle of prayer.

'What Christmas Means To Me' - A Cappella From Pentatonix

A cappella group Pentatonix help get us in the Christmas spirit with their upbeat rendition of ‘What Christmas Means To Me.’ This popular tune was made famous after Stevie Wonder released his recording in 1967. Decades later, this Christmas favorite always has a way of getting me to sing along. ‘Candles burnin' low, Lots of mistletoe. Lots of snow and ice, Everywhere we go. Choirs singin' carols, Right outside my door. All these things and more (All these things and more) That's what Christmas means to me my love (That's what Christmas means to me my love)’ These talented vocalists have become a Christmas staple with songs such as ‘Mary Did You Know’ and ‘Hallelujah’. This upbeat rendition of ‘What Christmas Means To Me’ is really a toe-tapper. All five voices combine perfectly to make the most melodious and joyful holiday sound. The Grammy-award winning group truly knows how to choose the perfect songs to compliment their talent and they’ve definitely done it again with this one. You can find this single, and other holiday songs, on the new Pentatonix album “Christmas Is Here!”. “Christmas Is Here!” includes all of our favorites such as “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Here Comes Santa Claus” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” There is just something about hearing all of these songs recorded a cappella that truly gives them a whole new feel. I think this is going to be another Christmas album that gets played year after year. What do you think?

'Mary Did You Know' From Mark Lowry And Brother

The modern classic ‘Mary, Did You Know?’ is one of the most popular Christmas songs of all time. But this powerful song took over 7 years to perfect. The idea for the song came to Mark Lowry when he was writing a Christmas program for Jerry Falwell in the early 80s. He started thinking about what he would ask Mary if she was sitting right in front of him and how she must have felt. That’s when he put together the questions that eventually became the lyrics we know and love today. ‘Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man? Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand? Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? When you kiss your little baby, you kiss the face of God’ In 1991, once the lyrics were complete, Mark asked his good friend Buddy Greene to write music to accompany his words. It only took 30 minutes for Buddy to compose the iconic music for ‘Mary, Did You Know?’ Today, Mark is joined by his brother, Mike, for a special stripped down rendition of this famous song. When you hear them beautifully belt out the words, you will be reminded of the real reason for the season. Luke 1:30-31 The angel said to her, “Mary, do not be afraid. You have found favor with God. See! You are to become a mother and have a Son. You are to give Him the name Jesus.

Sometimes, we get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of presents and parties that we start to forget what the holiday is actually about. It’s so important to take time to pause and really remember that we are celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. His birth paved the way for our salvation and now, we are all saved. This is the perfect time of year to truly let your light for the Lord shine and share the good news with the world. ‘So glad it's Christmas Bright lights are everywhere It's Christmas Children say a prayer At Christmas, Christmas’ Even though we may be busy, the lyrics of CeCe’s song sum it up perfectly: ‘Oh the hustle this time of year Oh but I'm so glad we're here’ I’m so thankful that CeCe is sharing this special song this year and giving us all the reminder we need to make Christ the reason for the season.

Strangers Help Frazzled Mom On A Flight And She Pays It Forward

One thankful mom is encouraging others to pay it forward after three strangers stepped up for her in a big way. 31-year-old Becca Kinsey was flying home with her two young sons after a trip to Disney World when everything started to crumble. Her 2-year-old started to scream in the airport security line and Becca became frazzled. That’s when a kind woman offered to let the family go in front of her instead of waiting. Becca posted about the day on Facebook saying, “So I thought it was a good idea to fly by myself with a 2 yr old and a 5 year old. We were standing in line in security, on the verge of tears because Wyatt was screaming and James was exhausted. Out of the blue, one mom stops the line for security and says ‘Here, jump in front of me! I know how it is!’” And the kindness didn’t stop there, another woman offered to carry Becca’s bag so that she could hold on to her sleeping son. Then, once Becca and her sons were on the plane, a third woman stepped up to help. “This angel comes to the back and says ‘You look like you need a break’ and holds Wyatt for the rest of the flight.” After she arrived home, Becca made a social media post about her 3 guardian angels and it went viral. Then, this grateful mom decided to pay it forward and encouraged others to do the same. It’s truly amazing how a little bit of kindness can lead to wave of change.

'Heaven's Not Too Far' - We Three Pen Song For Mother In Heaven

‘Heaven’s Not Too Far’ is the debut track off of the new self-titled album from We Three. This talented family band from Oregon is comprised of siblings Joshua, Bethany and Manny. You may remember this trio from their run on America’s Got Talent. The band made it all the way to the semi-finals before being eliminated, but they made a big impression on America. During their initial audition they performed their original song ‘Heaven’s Not Too Far.’ The siblings shared the touching story behind the song and it had America in tears. Their father was in a family band, so these siblings were around music before they would even walk. Music was such a big part of their family and it brought them all closer. Sadly, the trio lost their mother in 2015 to stage 4 carcinoma cancer and her death left an impact. To honor this amazing woman, We Three has penned the song, written from her point of view. During their AGT audition, judge Mel B couldn't hold back the tears as this talented trio belted out the powerful lyrics. Mel B lost her own father in 2017 after a long battle with cancer, so this song hit her especially hard. Now, the band is releasing their official music video and it’s truly one that will hit you right in the heart. ‘But Heaven's not too far away I know someday you'll visit And I didn't think it'd go this way Can I please have one more minute I gave you life Now you gotta watch it leave my eyes But Heaven's not too far away I know someday you'll visit’

Kelly Clarkson And Pentatonix Sing 'Grown Up Christmas List'

‘My Grown Up Christmas List’ was made famous in 1992 after it was recorded by Christian artist Amy Grant. Since that time, countless different musicians have covered this Christmas song, each one adding their own special touch. ‘So here's my lifelong wish My grown-up Christmas list Not for myself But for a world in need’ Today, American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson is joining with a cappella sensations Pentatonix for a hauntingly beautiful rendition of this Christmas classic. They performed together in Las Vegas as part of the ‘Pentatonix: A Not So Silent Night’ special. This talented ensemble sings each and every note with perfect pitch and incredible harmonies. ‘No more lives torn apart That wars would never start And time would heal all hearts Everyone would have a friend And right would always win And love would never end This is my grown-up Christmas list’ As we grow older, we truly realize the importance of Christmas time and the spirit of giving. ‘Well heaven surely knows That packages and bows Can never heal a hurting human soul’ It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays and concern ourselves with presents and money spent. But Christmas is about following the example of Jesus Christ and spreading His message of love and kindness to everyone that we meet. This modern Christmas song shares those values for an entire world in need of love. Colossians 3:12 “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

Kymberli Joye Sings Gospel Song 'Never Alone' On The Voice

26-year-old Kymberli Joye is taking the crowd to church again with her performance of ‘Never Alone’ on The Voice. This powerhouse singer has been getting the judge’s seal of approval week after week on the popular singing competition. And this worship leader is letting the world know that Christ is the reason she is here today. First, she performed the gospel song ‘Break Every Chain’ during ‘Fan Night.’ Next, shebrought the crowd to their feet with her stunning rendition of Hillsong United’s "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)." Now, Kymberli is back with the Tori Kelly ballad. ‘Tell me do you believe in miracles? I'm standing here before your eyes I've cried many rivers I've walked through some pain I've seen my world crumble And I'll carry the shame But I know somebody, He calls me His own I can hear heaven singing out Oh-oh-oh, you're never alone’ This song shares such a special message about our God. Even though, there may be times in our lives where we feel lost or distant from the Lord, always remember that He will never leave our side or abandon us. The Lord is truly our hope, our light and our strength. Even when we think He may not hear us, the Lord is always listening. When we cry out to Him, He is there to shoulder the burden. Through the darkness, He is truly the compass and the light that will always guide us right back home. I’m so glad that Kymberli Joye is sharing her love of the Lord with the whole world.

Loretta Lynn On Her Famous Songs And Wishes For Her Dad

Loretta Lynn has been called the queen of country music. Her iconic songs, such as Coal Miner’s Daughter, still resonate with fans today. Today, she is discussing her health and successful music career with Jenna Bush Hager and it’s truly an inspiring journey. At 86 years old, there’s no slowing down for this country legend. After 58 years in the industry, Loretta is still releasing toe-tapping music with her new album “Wouldn’t It Be Great.” The title track off of the album is especially meaningful as it was the last song that Loretta played for her late husband. Over the years, Loretta has written every single song that she recorded. Writing was actually more important to her than singing and the fans responded in waves. She has been called a ‘trailblazer’ and a ‘powerful voice for women.’ Her unique style and heartfelt lyrics paved the way for other female voices. But despite her many adoring fans, there’s one person that Loretta wishes could see her success. Her father died in 1959 of black lung disease before Loretta found success. “I’d give anything in the world if he would’ve been here when I recorded ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter.’ But I think he hears me and one day I will sing it him.” This pioneer in country music truly made her mark on the industry and it seems that there is no end in sight. What an incredible story of working hard to follow your dreams. Who else is a fan of Loretta Lynn?
