Children's School Choir Brings Smiles With Semi-Final Performance

The Flakefleet Primary School returns for a semi-final performance on Britain’s Got Talent that will leave you grinning. We first met this incredible children’s choir when they blew the judges away with their joyful audition to ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ from Queen. (https://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=1EJ1BFNU) Headteacher David McPartlin leads this group of talented students. At first, everyone thought this was going to be a routine singing audition. But when the music started, everything changed in an instant. The choir started to belt out the iconic Queen lyrics and then students started to appear from both sides of the stage. There were all kinds of costumes and acrobatics happening across the floor while the choir continues to sing. After the first audition, the judges had rave reviews for the group. Flakefleet Primary School even led judge David Walliams to tears. He was moved to press the first golden buzzer of the season. Now, this incredible group is back for another stunning performance in the semi-finals. This time, they are dancing and singing to ‘I Need A Hero.’ “I need a hero I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night He's gotta be strong And he's gotta be fast And he's gotta be fresh from the fight I need a hero” I didn’t think that this choir could get any more creative, but I was so wrong. This performance includes everything from singing flowerpots to Superman. And they earned another standing ovation from the judges and audience. I just love how these children can bring smiles and joy no matter what they are doing.

I'm LILY D. MOORE!

Hey there! My name is Lily D. Moore.

I’m guessing you want to learn more about me.

In some ways, I guess you could call me your all-around “average” teenager. I’m a freshman in high school. I’m fifteen years old. I enjoy cooking, swimming, singing, cheerleading, and playing with hair & makeup. I love drama club and my pets: Charlie (dog), Lester (cat), and Hazel (cat).

In other ways, I am not average... at all! I was born with Down Syndrome.
But don’t worry – my disability doesn’t stand in my way.

Don’t believe me?

Well, here’s the thing:

I’m a professional actress and model. I’ve starred in films, television episodes, and national commercials. I have posed for photographers on both coasts of the United States.

Two years ago, I started an initiative for the homeless population called “H.E.L.P. – Helping Everyone with Love and Passion.” H.E.L.P. makes bags of food and toiletries available to the homeless. So far, we’ve given out over 400!

You might wonder… what’s next for me?

In addition to having an AWESOME Agent/Manager team for my acting career AND booking roles whenever possible, I’m looking into creating my very own film work… soon. Stay tuned.

Otherwise, I’m going to continue enjoying my life: traveling, enjoying friends, and hanging out with my wonderful family.

I guess you could say that I’m living my dreams.

'I'm Standing With You' Chrissy Metz Red Nose Day Performance

Actress and singer Chrissy Metz performs her inspirational song ‘I’m Standing With You’ for Red Nose Day. This special event is held once a year to raise money to end child poverty. On their website, the organization says, “Since our debut in 2015, we have raised over $150 million and have positively impacted over 16 million children in America, and around the world.” Today, ‘This Is Us’ star Chrissy Metz is using her voice to help this worthy cause. ‘I’m Standing With You’ is a song featured on the soundtrack for the faith-based film, ‘Breakthrough.’ “We all got time's when we can't be strong When it feels like, like all hope is gone But I'm right here Right here to lean on I'll always be strong for you And when you feeling broken And it's seems like every door is closing Want you to know that mine is always open” ‘Breakthrough’ is a true story based on the inspiring 2017 book from Joyce Smith titled ‘The Impossible: The Miraculous Story of a Mother’s Faith and Her Child’s Resurrection.’ The film stars Chrissy Metz as the mother, Joyce Smith. The Smith family is rocked by tragedy when their adopted son, John, falls into an icy lake. After 15 minutes in the water, doctors did not think that John would not make it. But Joyce had faith in God and prayed over her son’s body. That’s when the Lord granted a miracle and John was saved. This incredible performance reminds us all of the hope and power in prayer. ‘Breakthrough’ is in theaters now.

Hospital Sings To Little Girl After Last Chemo Treatment

It was a heartwarming moment captured on camera when this hospital sings to little girl after she finishes her last chemotherapy treatment. Cancer of any kind is devastating to an individual and their surrounding loved ones. From the initial diagnosis to the recurring treatments, it can be a sprain both physically and emotionally. Molly Hughes was just four months old when she was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. Her parents were told that she may not make it to the age of 2. But this little sweetheart is a fighter and she even went through 130 days of chemo treatment in the hospital. Even when the treatments drained her of energy and her appetite, Molly continued to battle. Finally, 15 months after her diagnosis, Molly’s parents received the phone call they had been waiting on. The toddler was officially in remission. It was a joyous occasion for everyone and Molly’s mother, Chelsea, expressed her happiness online saying, “Our God is SO good!!! Thank you all for the prayers!!!!” Now, Chelsea is sharing a sweet video from Molly’s last day of chemo treatment and it’s enough to move anyone to tears. Just watch as hospital staff surround Molly and start to sing the cutest song about the end of her treatment. It is performed to the tune of ‘The Macarena’ and it’s such a special way to mark this happy occasion. There’s even bubbles at the very end! I’m so glad that Molly is now in remission. God is so good!

'Waving Through A Window' Pentatonix Official Music Video

A cappella and viral sensations Pentatonix are back with an incredible cover of ‘Waving Through The Window’ from the popular musical ‘Dear Evan Hansen.’ This talented group formed in 2011, but they really shot to fame after winning the third season of the television show ‘The Sing Off.’ Since that time, Pentatonix has become a household name with viral performances such as ‘Mary Did You Know’ and ‘Hallelujah.’ Today, these five talented voices are singing one of the most popular songs of the moment. ‘Waving Through The Window’ is featured in Broadway musical ‘Dear Evan Hansen.’ The play focuses on a teenager trying to fit in with the world around him. And the music has took on a life of its own. On the outside, always looking in Will I ever be more than I've always been? 'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass I'm waving through a window I try to speak, but nobody can hear So I wait around for an answer to appear While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass I'm waving through a window, oh Can anybody see, is anybody waving back at me? This Pentatonix cover proves, once again, that this a cappella group is at the top of their game. Time after time, they amaze us all with their original arrangements and perfectly blended vocals. This talented group has a gift for selecting just the right song to compliment their voices and ‘Waving Through The Window’ is another song that we’ll be hearing more of.

A Cappella Girl Group Citizen Queen Perform 'Never Enough'

The female a cappella ensemble of Citizen Queen perform an showstopping rendition of ‘Never Enough.’ This popular tune was featured in the movie, The Greatest Showman. The film was released in 2017 and starred Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams. It told the story behind P.T. Barnum and how this showman created the Barnum & Bailey Circus. The music featured in the film because an instant classic. One of the most popular tunes is ‘Never Enough.’ “All the shine of a thousand spotlights All the stars we steal from the nightsky Will never be enough Never be enough Towers of gold are still too little These hands could hold the world but it'll Never be enough Never be enough For me” Today, the five stunning voices of Citizen Queen are belting out these iconic lyrics. Not only is this an extremely difficult song to perfect, but these women are singing it without any accompanying music. When you perform a cappella, every sound that you hear comes from the human mouth. It takes so much hard work and practice to pull off just one song. But these women make it look easy as they flawlessly hit every single note in ‘Never Enough.’ This power ballad has inspired covers from all different genres, but this stripped down rendition might be one of my favorites. It’s obvious that these women are very talented and I’m looking forward to seeing what songs they perform next. What did you think of this Greatest Showman cover song?

Important Safety Tips For Women Traveling Alone

Experts and fellow travelers share their safety tips for women who are traveling solo. In today’s world, a lot of crazy things can happen in an instant. You have to super careful about your surroundings and your possessions. With advanced technology and social media, you are a much easier target, but there are ways to protect yourself. A study from Booking.com shows that nearly 72 percent of female travelers go alone. While women shouldn’t be afraid to explore the world’s many wonders, this also puts them in a vulnerable position. Even when we may feel safe, you never know what dangers are lurking around. One female traveler said that when she gets to a hotel room, she always makes sure that the windows are locked and that the door closes and locks properly. Kelly Lewis, the founder of the women's tour group, also had some words of wisdom. "Make sure you are aware of your surroundings. You are seeing who is near you, who is looking at you, where your things are, where you are going. You have to be present in what you are doing.” There is also safety in numbers. If you choose to travel solo, consider using a tour group or finding group activities once you arrive at your destination. There are numerous social media apps that can also track your GPS location and share this with family and friends. These are just a few of the safety reminders that we should all pay attention to. This helpful information could truly save a life.

The Voice Winner Maelyn Jarmon Sings 'Angel' With Sarah McLachlan

Maelyn Jarmon, the winner of the twelfth season of The Voice performs a beautiful duet of ‘Angel’ with Sarah McLachlan. The 26-year-old became a fan-favorite with her performances of songs such as ‘The Scientist’ and ‘Mad World.’ As part of Team John Legend, Maelyn continued to bring her best every single week. Early on, we learned that this incredible singer is completely deaf in her right ear. When she was a baby, tubes were inserted into her ears to help combat ear infections. But that lead to permanent damage. Maelyn has never let her hearing impairments stop her from from following her musical dreams. In fact, she embraces her limited hearing and has connected with so many fans that have a similar struggle. That’s one of the reasons she developed such a loyal following and, ultimately, won The Voice competition. On the season finale, Maelyn stood on stage with a musical icon and performed ‘Angel’ with the original singer and songwriter, Sarah McLachlan. “In the arms of the angel Fly away from here From this dark, cold hotel room And the endlessness that you fear You are pulled from the wreckage Of your silent reverie You're in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here” This song has provided comfort and support to so many hearts all over the world. And it is the perfect compliment to her beautiful vocals and tone. Maelyn certainly deserved the trophy and we definitely haven’t seen the last of this incredible musician.
