Trio Of Basses Sing 'Hallelujah'

A trio of basses beautifully sing ‘Hallelujah,’ and it sounds like pure wonder. Imagine with me, three individuals gifted with deep, melodic bass voices, and they get together to sing ‘Hallelujah.’ What you get is a trio of basses singing ‘Hallelujah’ that will blow your mind. The three men, Connor, Henry, and Dash formed the band Misty. They call themselves harmony and lyric makers with 31,000 followers on Youtube. They say their story begins when the three voices were forged together by notes that rattle the soul: low notes. One afternoon, they found a tunnel outdoors which had wonderful acoustic conditions, much better than any of their bathrooms. Naturally the guys couldn’t resist and they sang their first song together in that tunnel as they recorded the video titled, ‘The Misty Mountains Cold’ from the Hobbit. When COVID hit, the trio weren’t able to get together to sing. But they knew quitting wasn’t an option, so they tried several ways to sing with the use of technology. One of the gifts coming from social distancing was the ability to create their own music instead of singing covers. In the meantime, cover songs like the classic ‘Hallelujah’ shows what a tremendous gift they have blending their voices together. In fact, ‘Hallelujah’ is Hebrew for 'Praise ye the Lord', and Leonard's song explores the different kinds of Hallelujah we offer God in our suffering and joy. When Leonard Cohen first released Hallelujah, it was not an instant hit. Decades later, another artist would pick the song as a cover and make it immensely popular--including the band Misty with their incredible version. You have to watch to believe it! Those who have watched them Connor, Henry, and Dash perform the song have left comments that give you an idea just how amazing they sound. One commenter said, “Question here, do y'all give yourself chills while singing or is it just all of us? Love this!” Another added, “I've been waiting on y'all to sing this since y'all asked for suggestions a while back. It came out wonderfully, thank you!” “Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.” Revelation 19:6

'Forever Young' Blind Audition Strikes A Chord With The Judges

During week 2 of ‘The Voice UK’s blind auditions, contestant, Joe Topping, struck a chord with a few of the judges in this performance of Bob Dylan’s classic rock hit, ‘Forever Young.’ Originally released in 1973, Bob Dylan’s ‘Forever Young’ was written as a lullaby for Dylan’s oldest son, Jesse, and included influences from the Old Testament book of Numbers. May God's bless and keep you always May your wishes all come true May you always do for others And let others do for you Bob Dylan included two versions of the song, a quick one and a slower, more sentimental one, on his fourteenth studio album, ‘Planet Waves.’ This album was the first to be released since Bob Dylan reunited with his original backing group, ‘The Band’, and the album found international success, reaching the number one position on the United States Billboard charts, number seven in the United Kingdom. When English singer-songwriter, Joe Topping, took ‘The Voice UK’s stage for the second week of blind auditions to perform ‘Forever Young’, he was surely hopeful to turn at least one of the star judge’s chairs. With his wife and children watching from backstage, Joe sang alongside the accompaniment of his guitar, to the enjoyment of both the audience and the judges. By the end of his performance Joe turned not one, but two chairs, and judging by the look on his family’s faces, they couldn’t be more proud. Joe’s musical sound was inspired by both the English folk clubs he grew up around, as well as the blues and Americana sounds of his adventures in the United states. Joe’s inspiring adventures in the United States included a great road trip, during which Joe drove all across the country living in a pickup truck. "Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them." Matthew 7:12

Leave It To Beaver Actors Reflect On Show's 60th Anniversary

Check out actors Jerry Mathers and Tony Dow from ‘Leave It To Beaver’ reflect about their time on the sitcom. Jerry Mathers and Tony Dow, who played Beaver and Wally on ‘Leave It To Beaver’ sat down with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford of The Today Show to reminisce about their time on the beloved show. At the start of the segment, Hoda and Kathie welcome Jerry and Tony through a front door and hand them a packed lunch. The show premiered on October 4, 1957 and ran for six seasons. And it has lived on in television reruns ever since. In fact, ‘Leave It To Beaver’ is the longest running show in television history. Jerry Mathers, who played the Beaver, had no idea that the show was going to be such a hit. “Every season we would think that we might not come back,” he shared. Later in the video, Jerry and Tony talked about how they both hit it off with each other as soon as they started filming for the show. They also shared about the TV parents. “It's so heartwarming to know that Tony and Jerry are close! Check out this retro-style ice skating routine that earns top scores for this ice skating pair! “In their first performance since last February, Madison Chock and Evan Bates teamed up for the highest scoring rhythm dance in Nationals history,” reads the caption of this YouTube video. The music that Madison and Evan used for their routine was ‘Too Darn Hot’ by Cole Porter. And their costumes for their performance were so perfect! The pair looked like they were having so much fun together as they were jumping, twirling, dancing, and skating all around the ice. What talented ice skaters, and what an incredible performance! “You could see the finesse of the details. You could see all of the choreographic nuances. And because we haven’t seen them compete in so long, it also feels pretty fresh,” shares one judge after watching their routine. Madison and Evan make skating on ice and the complicated moves that they do look so easy and effortless. And they are always right where the other needs them to be during the performance. They definitely have a great bond and their teamwork shines through in their routine. “She is absolutely stunning on the ice. There is something about their chemistry that just draws you in. I feel it’s forced at times for other teams, not with them,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “It’s because of watching skaters like these two that all non-skaters wish they could experience true freedom on the ice,” writes another person online. “I learned long ago when I put on a pair of skates it doesn't just happen. However, it's exhilarating to watch.” What a graceful and exquisite performance! No wonder this talented ice-skating pair earned top scores! 2 Guys Perform 'Danny's Song' In The Rain

Listen to these two guys perform the song ‘Danny’s Song’ with rain peacefully falling in the background. “People smile and tell me I'm the lucky one, and we've just begun, think I'm gonna have a son He will be like she and me, as free as a dove, conceived in love, sun is gonna shine above Even though we ain't got money, I'm so in love with you, honey And everything will bring a chain of love, oh, oh, yeah” The man singing in the video is named Austin Brown, and Steven Martinez is the one playing the guitar. Both of these guys are so talented! And they performed such a beautiful and peaceful rendition of this song. The rain helped add some calm and beauty to the video as well. As Steven plucks on his guitar strings and Austin uses his smooth voice to sing out the lyrics, it is so nice to just take a moment, close your eyes, and enjoy listening to their beautiful melody. “Have always loved this song. You do it true justice. It did bring a tear to my eye,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “I could listen to you sing all day! Green Screen orchestral fash mob (Co-vid compliant)

How to do a flash mob orchestra in today's world? This is our attempt using green screens to bring the players together. It's a little bit virtual I guess. The musicians are from the Cobweb orchestra and the music and conducting is by their leader, Andy jackson, with sound work by Steve Messam who is also one of the players. The music is Pavane by Fauré. The work is supported by Gateshead Council and the Gateshead arts team. All the musicians filmed themselves in their homes, and hung the green sheets for backdrops. It would be amazing to see how others are doing musical works with groups at the moment online. the filming of the locations is by Jason Berge. So, Orchestra flash mob Green Screen 2020! (Co-vid compliant) Pavane by Fauré:
So here this is an attempt to bring the players together. Maybe it is more of an artwork, hopefully this shows how you can make work, with existing materials and the will and ehlp of those around, that can be unusual and interesting. Orchestral works based on groups are finding it hard at the moment, and while zoom concerts an

Unique Cover Of 'Unchained Melody' From Home Free's Austin Brown

Enjoy this melodious sound as Austin Brown belts out the words to ‘Unchained Melody’ with Steven Martinez on guitar. This love song was a hit for The Righteous Brothers back in 1965. The classic song was even inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame. Now, these two talented artists are putting their own unique spin on the country classic. “Oh, my love, my darling I've hungered for your touch A long, lonely time Time goes by so slowly” You may recognize Austin as a member of the a cappella group Home Free. We met this musical group when they competed in and won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013. Other members include Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance and they’ve become viral sensations with their covers of hit songs such as ‘Ring Of Fire’ and ‘How Great Thou Art.’ 2020 was an interesting year for people all across the globe. And while the pandemic forced Home Free to stop their tour, it allowed Austin time to discover himself as a solo artist. He used these unprecedented times to create his own originals and cover songs and they are absolutely incredible. Today, Austin is venturing out with an awe-inspiring performance of ‘Unchained Melody’ by The Righteous Brothers. Joined by Steven Martinez on guitar, Austin beautifully belts out these iconic words. “And time can do so much Are you still mine? I need your love I need your love God speed your love to me” This song is always hits close to home and this unique performance might be one of my favorites.
