My Cafeteria Dream


The Lord pressed on my heart through His Holy Spirit to share my cafeteria dream with you. There are many who do need to hear this message. We should no longer feel ashamed, the Lord took our shame away through the cross. We don't have to run and hid behind our fig leaves. We can have open fellowship with Him. Come to the Lord's table and sup with Him. You are invited through the Cross.

i DREAMED A dREAM...

I was in a large room that looked like a cafeteria. I was walking down the long isle between the long rows of cafeteria tables, with my lunch tray in hand......

Creativity came naturally for Justin. It was a gift. In the midst of his lowest moments, his addiction, he realized that the gift was gone.

And so began a journey to reclaim that gift. What was once an all-consuming desire to serve himself became a deeper need to truly live out the calling that God had placed on his life.

Pornography tainted Zack's marriage before it even began. It had been years since he looked at porn, but the effects were still devastating. One week before his wedding day, the truth was finally revealed.

Through the tears, and through the pain, Isa finally spoke the words out loud; “I was raped.” And everything changed.

In every word, there was power. Every time she repeated it, there was redemption. Sometimes the hardest thing is only the hardest thing until you say it.

Isa’s story is part of a series called “I Need to Say This.” We asked people to share the hardest thing they’ve ever had to say. Their answers are challenging, inspiring, and true.

When Andrew realized that he didn’t actually know what he believed in or why he believed it, he was thrown into a downward spiral of doubt, confusion, and despair.

What was he living for? Had his life been a lie?

This crisis of faith and identity lead him to the hardest thing he has ever had to say; he was considering suicide.

God has seen me through a lot of adversity in my life, but the past four years have been exceptionally difficult for me. Battling infertility struggles, chronic pain from endometriosis, and grieving the loss of five babies was hard, but losing my ability to have a baby of my own was beyond devastating. At times, I felt angry at God and couldn't understand why He would allow me to endure such a trial, but through it all, I continued to trust Him.
