Acts 19:1-9

And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

The Food Network is very popular these days, but it has nothing on God, who, by the way, invented all the ingredients in real food. In His Word, our heavenly Father gives us a recipe for our lives that, if we follow, will result in His considering us as "Well done." This is a tasty teaching.

1 Corinthians 6:6-14

6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. 7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? 8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

"Before the cross can bring salvation to our life, first the cross must undo our life! Before it can bring forgiveness, it must first bring condemnation...after we see the reality of what sin is, the Savior that was crucified for us is right there to bring the remedy!"

Too many Christians fail to understand that we are not called to fight people, unbelievers, or one another. We are called to fight a spiritual war with spiritual weapons. If we continue to fight the wrong enemy, or one who is not even truly an enemy at all, we will lose the battle! We cannot win if our back is to the true enemy while we are busy facing a shadow figure who is in fact no threat at all! A powerful and important message!

16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
