Are you a Student?

The University as a Lens for Faith
Is "student" an identity reserved for those who occupy desks and hand in assignments? Or is "student" a posture toward life and God available for all the members of God's family?

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher. –Jesus, Luke 6:40, ESV

To walk into this week as a student that “the Father of Glory may give you spiritual wisdom and revelation in your growing knowledge of him,—since the eyes of your heart have been enlightened—so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, that is the wealth of his glorious inheritance.”

We We are trying to teach this study in a "marathon" fashion, working swiftly through the course of the study. We believe you will find this very uplifting and inspirational, as well as deeply educational. (NOTE: The first half hour -approx- of this video was somehow corrupted and we were unable to fix the problem. The video does not show correctly, however the audio is fine. Pimped by Satan

A sermon about life and lust and honoring your body

Are You Satisfied

Whether God delivers you are not, just keep trusting that he can. When you come to the Lord you need to be sorrowful for the things that you have done. God says to stop beating yourself up because he is here. Meek is apart of your nature of how you are. With Him in you, you are a conqueror.

Be a slave to Christ: if you wake up when God says wake up, if you go to sleep you go to sleep. You are not a slave to others only when you believe in Christ Jesus you are a slave to Him. If you are thirsting and hungering after God you should never be filled. Ever wanting. Look not on the outward appearance but you have to look on the inside. When the heart is pure.

Matthew 5:1-12

And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of ev

How to Resist and Overcome Temptation

(Another video from www.strategicsecrets.com)
Everyone struggles with temptation. Everyone! However, there is no temptation that we can experience that is so unusual to everyone else.

God, who faithfully keeps His promises, does not allow us to be tested beyound what we can bear. With each temptation, He always makes a way out for us so that we can endure every testing that comes our way. (1 Corinthians 10:13).

The question is, will you choose to take God's way of escape or simply fall for temptation. The choice is yours.

1 Corinthians 7:23-37

23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. 24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God. 25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful. 26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. 27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. 28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

1 Corinthians 3:1-11

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
