The Daily Pulse (Tuesday, July 7, 2015): Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. 1 Peter 2:2-3 (NIV)
Southside Baptist Church July 5, 2015 - Morning Service 1 John 1:1-10
Summary: Is worship an individual act, or is their an aspect of worship that can only take place in community? As we explore this question, we turn to 1 John and discover that as we have been saved, our fellowship with God in Jesus Christ is incomplete if we are unable to find fellowship with each other in testimony and confession.
Speak My Word: 24 x 7 - The Daily Pulse (Monday, July 6, 2015): Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8 (NIV)
A sabbatical year. Every 7 years: couldn't do anything to the land you had to leave it fallow.
7 sabbatical years, everyone was released from their debt. If you own land and needed some money you would still be released from your debt.
September 13 2015 is the end of the Sabbatical year and also the beginning of Yom Kippur: God is releasing you. God wants you to look to Him so that we will learn how to treat Him. You need to be a borrower not a lender. He will give you enough with you trusting him that he will bring you through. As long as you are not trusting God to take care of you are not Independent. To release. We are all indebted to man instead we should be indebted to God.
Luke 4:13

In His Word, God makes it very clear that those who truly follow Christ will be persecuted. Welcome to life! What happened to the "body of Christ" when he walked the earth will happen now to his spiritual Body, the Church. So how are we to deal with this kind of suffering? With the mindset that Jesus Christ had. And he will help us do just that, such that we can have joy and peace even now, and earn glorious rewards for the future.
The Book of Ruth is a wonderful gem in the Old Testament. This teaching delves into how the book displays the need to know, understand, and act on the written Word of God.
Southside Baptist Church June 28, 2015 - Morning Service Daniel 1:1-21
Summary: In celebration of completing VBS for this year, and to celebrate all that God did during VBS, we take a minute to consider what it means to take a journey off the map. God is not limited by our expectations, and as followers of Christ, we must be willing to accept that God may just lead us towards the unexpected, the new, and the unusual at any time.
Southside Baptist Church June 28, 2015 - Evening Service Exodus 3:11-12
Summary: As we continue to examine Moses' encounter with God at the burning bush, we watch as God gives the greatest (and perhaps most unusual) words of encouragement to the reluctant hero.
We began this week looking at the final chapter of the epistle of Paul to the fledgling church at Rome. In this final chapter Paul asks for every hospitality to be extended to those with whom he has sent this letter. Those who accompanied the epistle bore witness to the authorship of the document and their witness was validated by the fact that some of those bringing the letter were themselves former members of the assembly at Rome.
