Reformed ministries and teachers generally have a great respect for God’s sovereignty and for Holy Scriptures, but when it comes to marriage, the view changes to man’s freedom and desires, as they allow brethren to tear apart their marriages and then live in what our Lord calls adultery. This has been the way for most reformed since the Reformation itself, and is a truly foundational flaw in the Protestant faith.
To be consistent with our view of God, to be consistent with our view of the Holy Scriptures, and to trust that God makes us new men in the Savior, we must be faithful to our marriage covenant, and teach others to do the same. We are responsible to warn those who live in adultery, and call them to repentance. That is just a part of what it means to know the Lord.
