February, 26, 2020 - Cycle A - ASH WEDNESDAY - Get a Spiritual Tune-Up During Lent - Presented by Deacon Bob Pladek

Peace to everyone,
Today we celebrate Ash Wednesday; a day that marks the beginning of our Lenten Journey. There may be some of us who have participated in the Season of Lent for many years, yet we wonder, “Why 40 days? Why fast? Isn’t going to Mass enough?”
I invite you to invest 10 minutes of your time to get answers to these questions and more as we go on a spiritual journey that offers us a “Spiritual Tune-Up” and ultimately leads us to that glorious Holy Thursday Passover Meal, where Jesus transforms ordinary bread and wine into His most precious Body and Blood. May God bless your Lenten Journey with a renewed commitment to follow Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Martin Wiles: Sermon on the Mount Series: Don't Just Live, Really Live Part 2 (Buffalo Baptist Church)

https://www.facebook.com/buffalobc/ Everyone needs comfort more than once during their lifetime. While comfort can come from many places, our greatest comfort comes from God. Jesus connects that comfort to mourning: Mourning over our failures and mourning over the injustice we see in our world.
Pastor Martin Wiles of Buffalo Baptist Church, McCormick, SC

Martin Wiles: Sermon on the Mount Series: Don't Just Live, Really Live Part 1 (Buffalo Baptist Church)

Series: Sermon on the Mount. Some think the best life involves no sorrow or pain. But Jesus links mourning with happiness. Until we let go of sin and choose obedience to Christ, we'll never enjoy life at its best.
Pastor Martin Wiles of Buffalo Baptist Church, McCormick, SC
