Regardless of our circumstances, we can be joyful. While circumstances can certainly make it significantly easier to experience joy, we have the Holy Spirit Who can empower us to choose joy in every circumstance. The joy of the Lord is our strength.

Peace to everyone,
Six hundred years before Jesus walked the earth, God sent the Prophet Zephaniah to warn Israel to turn away from the sin of worshiping false gods and foreign practices and follow God’s plan of Salvation.
Today’s Gospel reveals another great prophet, John the Baptist, who calls us to repent from sin and follow the Messiah, Jesus, the Lamb of God, who will pay the full price for our sin and provide us the free gift of eternal life in God’s Kingdom.
On this Gaudete Sunday, (a time to REJOICE in God’s plan of salvation), I invite you to listen to a TRUE STORY about a woman who was trapped in sin, and how a miracle of God’s love, grace and mercy, set her free and restored her life through the power of Jesus Christ. May her story encourage us all to REJOICE as we prepare to celebrate our Savior’s birth this Christmas.
