All Christians believe that God is love, but sometimes we don't act like it. We know it intellectually; however, what we really believe in our heart is how we will act in life.
If you are a born again Christian then all of your sins past present and future have been put on the cross. Because Jesus paid the price in full and He said, "It is finished!" There is therefore now no guilt and condemnation against you and you can receive the unconditional love of God. That love will change your character and personality for the better.
