Those stripes that saved us from all our sins were the exact same stripes that healed us from all our diseases. Another human being, such as a pastor, might be involved in the process when we are forgiven, but Jesus does the forgiving. Another human being, such as a medical professional, might be involved in the process when we are healed, but Jesus does the healing. And please don't let anyone talk you into believing that the healing mentioned in Isaiah chapter 53 was only a spiritual and an emotional healing. Yes, Jesus made it possible for my rebellious spirit to be healed. Yes, Jesus made it possible for me to get free from the guilt and shame of my sin. But Jesus also made it possible for me to be healed in my physical body.

We live as if our physical health and well-being has its own existence---totally unrelated to our spiritual health and well-being. We don’t usually make the connection between what’s going on in the physical and what’s going on in the spiritual. As a consequence, we don’t consider the possibility of controlling an issue in the natural by spiritual means.
God is interested in your "now." He wants you to enjoy the fruits of Jesus' finished work in your life. In partnership with you, He has a way of turning every circumstance into good. He just wants you to trust Him to do it for and through you, so He gives you every reason to trust Him.

When hearing someone say, “Let's get healthy,” there's the tendency for us to be deaf to the “get” part and jump directly to the “healthy” part. If we're talking to our doctor, we want a pill or a procedure that will fix us quickly. If we're talking to our pastor, we want a prayer that will fix us quickly. Whether we choose the medical building or the church building, we want the “healthy” part without having to deal with the “get” part. But the danger of skipping the prep work in healing is that the healing won't hold up over time. The doctor may only be able to treat the symptoms, or the pastor may only be able to provide temporary relief—all because the conditions that created the problem in the first place still exist.
Do you struggle with the desires of your flesh? If you do, then we want to tell you are not defeated by them and that there is Hope to overcome it all.

God gets no glory by leaving us to suffer—even if we have a good attitude about it. He gets the glory when we get the victory—when we become what He promised.
