Many have come to know the transforming power of microfinance to lift people from extreme poverty. What you may not know is how far someone can not only be lifted but be moved by the compassion of Christ to reach out to others in need in their community. This short film features Mama Flores and takes you on her journey from starting a simple food service to operating an expanding business that not only meets her needs but also the needs of women she has taken in from the street.

Living on less than $1 per day, ideas and skills alone may not be enough. But with access to capital and basic business training, the chains of poverty can be broken. It can be hard to share faith with others, especially those who knew us before we "found Jesus" :) My advice, be honest and share your story- how has Jesus changed you? Here is a vid I did for a class saying everything I wish I had said to friends in the past. Hope it inspires you to speak as well.
