Missions

IMPACT Collective and Meant 2 Live Foundation hosted an inspirational Splendor event at Helping Up Mission. We held a unique worship service with American Idol alum Danny Gokey along with the choir and band of this Baltimore based homeless shelter whose purpose is to serve up to 500 disadvantaged men facing drug addictions and poverty. One of the highlights occurred when Danny sang his hit song "hope in front of me" and gave his own personal testimony. It was a memorable and powerful experience that impacted all who attended.

Check out this heartwarming video where members of the Newsboys tear up when a homeless choir sings their song ‘We Believe.’

“In this time of desperation, when all we know is doubt and fear, there is only one foundation
We believe, we believe, we believe in God the Father, we believe in Jesus Christ
We believe in the Holy Spirit and He's given us new life, we believe in the crucifixion
We believe that He conquered death, we believe in the resurrection
And He's comin' back again, we believe”

What a powerful song that speaks of keeping faith in God even when we are going through our worst challenges. Something that the men singing in this video can very much relate to.

When IMPACT Collective and Meant To Live Foundation arrange for a homeless choir to sing ‘We Believe’ to the Newsboys, the lyrics of their own song mean so much more. Lead singer Michael Tait and drummer Duncan Phillips were absolutely blown away by the touching performance from these men. And Michael Tait gave an emotional response to the gentlemen in the choir after they were done singing.

What if the closest doctor to you was a boat ride and then a car ride away? Two hours until someone can help with your emergency. This used to be the problem on the island of Helene. Mission Encounters operates the only medical and dental clinics to help the locals with any physical ailments, as well as provide other related medical services.

Mission Encounters provides the only English speaking school on the island of Helene, Honduras. Our Helene Christian English School (HCES) emphasizes godly character building as well as academics under the banner of Jeremiah 29:11, “I know the plans that I have for you,” says the Lord. “Plans to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.”

Mission Encounters offers turn-key mission trips that will change the lives of your team. We host many teams throughout the year and can plan everything from the moment you reach Roatan, Honduras

OVER COMERS OF THIS WORLD

This video examines the epidemic of addiction in society and our special obligation as Christians to minister to this population.

Why should I consider being an SMI at CBM of Maryland?
“Doing CBM this summer was absolutely the best thing I could have done with my life. I don’t know why nobody told me about this before.” – Steven, age 14
“The internship literally changed my life. I went from seeing MY world around me to seeing THE world through God’s eyes. Lost and broken people unaware of their own sins, with Satan on one side trying to destroy them and God stretching out His gift of salvation for those who accept. It was so cool being able to see the world like that, then stepping into the middle and point children to Christ. After being a real missionary, I will never be the same.” – Caleb, age 17
Why Interns return from our program so pumped:
• This is REAL work for the REAL Creator. He can use you to take something that was broken (people) and help make it fixed (His people). You are far more than just some ‘intern’.
• THE PAY. Although this is a paid internship, the pay we’re talking about is the eternal reward. There is no greater privilege than being part of a program to help Christ win lost souls.
• YOU’RE COMMANDED TO be a missionary in the Bible. Why not take a summer to learn to do it right? “He commanded them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15
• IMPACTING people for life. By allowing God to use you, you can help save real people from spending eternity (a very very long time) in Hell and instead redirecting them to heaven (kind of a bi

The island of Lesvos has become the stage of triumph and heartbreak for the countless refugees that have reached its beaches. Their stories have become the narrative to one of the world's most pivotal moments and greatest crises.

After two weeks in Lesvos, World Race Films videographer Doug Linstedt has a story to share.
