Two talented dancers showed off their moves while performing as the iconic and beloved dolls Barbie and Ken.

Every person had a favorite toy as a child. Maybe it was the always-popular writing and drawing device Etch A Sketch. Perhaps the Slinky was the go-to object for fun and amusement. For those outdoor types, the toy of choice may have been the Radio Flyer red wagon or a Schwinn bicycle. 

However, if dolls or action figures were your favorites, you really had two main options: Barbie or the plastic green army men. Decades after the slender doll first hit store shelves, Mattel’s Barbie remains as popular as ever. It has even spawned a film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. 

In a clip posted to YouTube, two dancers – Alexander and Veronika Voskalchuk – performed a 4-and-a-half-minute routine as the iconic Barbie and Ken dolls. Their creative and inventive dance number gets underway on a hilarious note, even before the music begins.

Veronika, wearing a long, flowing and frilly pink dress, is carried out onto and placed on the dance floor. Her hands, legs and face are frozen in place, like the doll loved by many. Seconds later, Veronika is followed by her dance partner, Alexander, who also is carried out onto the floor. 

Then the music kicks in, which, of course, is the song “Barbie Girl” by Aqua. Veronika and Alexander move around and greet one another in a manner reminiscent of dolls with limited movement. 

The audience obviously loves the uproarious and inventive routine. They give the two dancers a rousing round of applause and cheers about a minute into their dance.

At approximately the 1:30-minute mark in the clip, the two dancers pour a magical, glitter-type substance on one another, which gives them their full range of motion. 

The rest of their dance number is a dazzling display of artistry, skill and creativity. The audience, at the end of their routine, once again, shows the two performers their appreciation with a hearty round of applause and cheers.

Several people approaching their final days on Earth had those around them go to great lengths to make their last and final wish come true.

Unfortunately, death is something that all will face and experience at one time or another. The circumstances surrounding the death do not make losing a loved one any less difficult. However, when death is expected, it’s a chance to cherish those moments, making the remaining time with that person much more valuable and precious.

A video posted on YouTube shows how far some people went to make the final wish of their dying loved ones a reality. One person was even able to push a billion-dollar company to let a dying man view a highly anticipated film before its scheduled release date. 

Star Wars films are beloved pieces of cinema, having created legions of dedicated fans. In 2015, Disney was set to release another film in the franchise in December. However, Daniel Fleetwood, diagnosed with terminal cancer, was not expected to live that long. 

So, Daniel’s wife, with help from social media and actor Mark Hamill, got Disney’s attention. Daniel did get the opportunity to watch the film before his death, according to the clip.

Other instances mentioned in the clip involve people moving up graduations and even weddings for the dying parents to see their children take those monumental steps. 

Back in 2017, a 58-year-old woman was in her final days in a hospital. However, she just wanted to see her pet horse one last time. Knowing the woman could not get her to the horse, the animal was brought to her. 

Another last wish, this one from an 87-year-old woman with Parkinson’s Disease, also involved a horse. The woman, who was a former equestrian, wanted one last ride. She had that wish granted. 

The clip, filled with loving and caring people working to help soothe their loved ones as they prepare to pass away, is a tear-jerker of a video. It’ll be hard to watch all 5-and-a-half minutes without getting emotional.

Several drivers on a Michigan highway were treated to quite the scene as a runaway cow sprinted onto and across the roadway.

Animals provide humans with several necessary items. Dogs, cats and other similar beings make excellent, loyal and loving companions. The wool from sheep helps in the creation of pieces of clothing. Cows, pigs, deer and others provide humans with food. 

However, as anyone knows, animals, even farm animals, can also provide humans with plenty of headaches. Members of law enforcement and animal wranglers in the Detroit area experienced this firsthand when a cow made a mad dash for freedom.

A video posted to YouTube shows a cow sprinting alongside, onto and across the busy highway as a cowboy on horseback follows right behind. 

The situation first began when the cow exited its enclosure on the farm. The video mentions that law enforcement was alerted and requested to assist with possible traffic control when it was thought to be headed for the highway.

At some point during its excursion, the cow became stuck in a gravel pit. The cow was freed from its predicament and thought it would try for freedom once again.

It was during the animal’s second try at freedom when it made it onto the roadway, encountering traffic. In the video, several cars in the far-left lane can be seen zooming on by the galloping bovine. 

But thanks to the cowboy on horseback, following closely behind the freedom-seeking beast, the cow was captured. The cowboy, as the video mentions, used rope to lasso and stop the animal.

Talk about fast food! Thank God the animal was captured before anyone was injured.

It’s unclear what, if any, charges the cow may face. The runaway cow was not immediately available for comment.

Hundreds of former students returned to their alma mater to say “thank you” to a beloved retiring high school educator, singing with the teacher one last time.

Teaching is a noble and important occupation. Whether it be at the elementary, middle, high school or college level, those educators are shaping and molding the minds of the next generation. Throughout a teaching career, educators can and do affect the lives of thousands of young people.

Jim Stanley, a high school chorus teacher in Georgia, is retiring after 30 years in the profession. However, before he put away his chorus book and sheet music for good, Jim came up with an idea. He invited former students to come and sing with his current students. It would be a musical send-off for the teacher, according to a video posted on YouTube. 

Instead of just a few alums returning to sing with Jim one last, the invitation reached hundreds of former students. Jim never envisioned turnout would grow to be so big.

“I put it out there, went ahead and scheduled it,” Jim said. “Thinking I maybe might be able to get 20, 25 kids come back and I was going to have them sing with my current kids on our final concert of the year. Then a couple of alumni actually established a Facebook group, which grew and grew and grew from week to week.”

The students who returned weren’t just those who still live around the Georgia high school either. 

“They came from as far away as Canada, Texas, Chicago,” Cindy Harter Sims said. “People stopped everything in their life so that they would have a chance to say, ‘thank you’ to Jim Stanley.”

What a terrific show of kindness and love that students spanning decades returned to say goodbye to a dedicated educator.

A dirty dog sat by the side of the road waiting patiently to be saved and taken in by a loving family.

Animals are special, loving and loyal creatures. No matter the situation or circumstances, they are just looking and hoping for someone who will love and treat them with kindness. One dog, who was in desperate need of a deep cleaning, found that just by sitting near the highway in Texas.

A woman and her family were driving along the road in Texas when they spotted something unusual. A large dog was just sitting in a field near the side of the highway. 

A video posted to YouTube shows that as the woman approached the animal, it did not appear to be afraid. The dog didn’t even move. Instead, it allowed Laura, the woman who spotted the dog, to corral it and place the animal in her van. 

“I thought the dog would just run,” Laura said. “I thought he was going to be scared. It was almost like he was waiting.”

The animal, found near the side of the road, needed a bath badly. The dog was so dirty that it took a dog groomer more than four hours to clean the animal. Soon after the animal was found, a decision was made to add him back to the family. The next step was a 23-hour drive back to Michigan.

The dog, the family named Murphy, fit right in with the rest of the family’s animals – Sunny, a dog and Bruno, a cat. 

Following the sudden and unexpected death of Sunny, Murphy was there to fill the giant hole in the family’s heart. In fact, Laura mentioned one big and surprising similarity between Sunny and Murphy.

“It’s so ironic how I found Murphy the same way I found Sunny,” Laura said.

One young man goes to great lengths to ensure people he doesn’t know have a happy birthday.

For adults, birthdays are not all that exciting or even welcome. It’s simply another reminder that, yes, we are getting older. But when it comes to children and birthdays, they have a decidedly different idea of the annual celebration. Most young children eagerly look forward to the day marking their entry into the world. 

One young man, 5-year-old Lukas from Wisconsin, knows children enjoy birthdays. That’s why he puts in the effort to make their big day special, according to a video posted on YouTube.

Lukas creates birthday cards for every child in his Wisconsin town. As the video mentions, the card-creating action originally started out as a community service project. However, Lukas has continued making birthday cards. 

Sam Smith, Lukas's mother, states that her son wanted to keep doing the activity. 

“And we got our hours in that we needed, and he just wanted to keep doing it,” Sam said. “It was like happy mom heart. I was so excited that he was like so loving and wanted to give back.”

Birthday card creation has since morphed into a hobby for young Lukas. It's a hobby that has helped to brighten the day of one little boy.  

Megan Novak asked for a Lukas-made birthday card for her son Eddie. She is moved by the 5-year-old’s mission to bring happiness to others. 

“It just shows that he wants to spread happiness,” Megan said. “And just share some joy with the other kids.” 

While Lukas may only be five years old, he is showing the recipients of the cards in his Wisconsin town, and everyone else, that spreading kindness and happiness is as simple as putting a few stickers on a piece of construction paper.

Two gifted dancers showed their impressive moves during a wholly improvised dance number.

Dance, like anything else, takes hours and hours of dedicated practice to appear even slightly competent at it. Sure, anyone can go out on the dance floor and try a move. But the odds of looking like a complete and total amateur who has no idea what they are doing are fairly high, almost a certainty.

A video posted to YouTube shows two people who are anything but amateurs. In the clip, Sondre and Tanya, a “professional swing dance couple,” took to the floor and in an improvised boogie woogie dance, wowed an adoring crowd.

In the nearly 5-minute clip, the two talented dancers strut their stuff, moving rhythmically along to the music being sung and played by the band. Their moves are so in sync that they appear to glide across the dance floor as one. 

While the young man in the video obviously has a plethora of moves and tons of talent, it’s his female partner who steals the show. She moves rhythmically with relative ease, making it appear easy. Of course, anyone knows that is not the case at all.

At approximately the 24-second mark of the clip, the woman employs one of Michael Jackson’s patented dance moves – the Moonwalk. For a few seconds, she does actually look to be moving backward on a moving walkway. 

If that wasn’t impressive enough, the couple uses acrobatic moves in their dance number. After picking up his female partner, the man throws her toward the ground, sending her through his legs and sliding onto the floor. They use another acrobatic move to finish off their dance. The man flips the woman, head over heels, over his shoulder. 

The entire clip is a sight to behold for those who enjoy dance and for anyone who can’t even take a step without twisting an ankle.
