At their concert in 2006, First Call brought their portion of the evening to a close by joining Bonnie's son, Graham, and Dick & Mel's daughters, Whitney and Kelsey, along with Marty McCall, in leading the crowd in worship. What a beautiful experience!
"Man on a Cross" written and performed by Father John Licari is a musical reflection on Christ's crucifixion and how lives are effected by His great sacrifice of love.
There was a special treat for those in attendance at First Call's concert in 2006 - a song sung by their kids! Mel's daughters, Whitney and Kelsey, and Bonnie's son, Graham, sang as a trio - much like their parents' group! Bonnie has a daughter and Marty has 2 sons who were not present. But it was clear that the talent in these singers have been passed on to the next generation!
This song was originally on the CD "Somethin' Takes Over." First Call re-recorded it for their most recent release, "Rejoice." An amazing African-language version of the hymn "All Creatures Of Our God And King," co-written by Marty McCall!
At their 2006 concert, Melodie gives a brief overview of the group's history. Then First Call demonstrates what singing the background vocals (BGV) is like ... and introduces the next act in the concert!
This raucous, fun song about the excitement of the Christian life is the title cut from First Call's second non-Christmas project. You should definitely leave singing this song to trained professionals!
A beautiful song about the forever goodness of our God, from First Call's CD "Somethin' Takes Over." This live version features Mel's husband, Dick Tunney, on piano.
Here is a Bible Video Quiz. Can you match the emotion with the Bible characters in the song? God can take your weaknesses and turn them into strengths!!!!
Just realized that I spelled a name wrong in the video. It should be Zaccheus, not Zacchaes.
