Some slight improvements to an earlier upload. To avoid confusion, the old one has been taken down This song, written by John Vegard Schow, and arranged in co-operation with Sveinung Nygaard, was sung on the CD "Tilhører Deg" - a joint praise collection made by various praise and worship teams from various churches in Bergen, Norway in 2004. The soloist is Natasha Fuglebakk. This song is so simple that it has taken a long time to come to a satisfactory version in English. I found it necessary to avoid being banale and falling back on clichés and to do this I had to go into the deep underlying message of the song: that is to say the underlying landscape and context, not merely the words. The words in English need to not only fit the tune, but conjour up something of the scope and vision of the original. Matthew 10 tells us not to expect an easy journey as we walk the road as followers of Jesus. After I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I found out all to soon the truth behind this scripture.
Words And Music By Fred Riedel Kim Riedel Rory Riedel- Please Read John 14:6 - LYRICS- No One Comes to the Father but Through Me, Jesus says This to the world yes to you and Me, we we're all born into sin, But until we Believe That Jesus shed His Blood for Us, we will always be Deceived, Jesus You Are God, Who Left Your Throne, To Come Down And Rescue Us, What We Could Never Do alone, Jesus You Shed Your Blood for Us, At Calvary, And Your word Says, No one Comes To The Father But Through Me, No One Comes To The Father But Through Me, Jesus Said Not By Works, But By Faith we Must Believe, Now We Believe And Pray With Jesus Who Intercedes, For Our Father To Open Lost Hearts, to Come To Jesus And Receive, Jesus You Are God, Who Left Your Throne, To Come Down And Rescue Us, What We Could Never Do alone, Jesus You Shed Your Blood for Us, To Set Us Free, And Your word Says, No one Comes To The Father But Through Me, Jesus Says, Please Come To My Father, Through Me
This song is about being the hands and feet of Jesus. As Christians we all have a responsibility to love our neighbors and show God's love in a world that often seems so dark. We are His hands and feet. Enjoy! Praise the Lord!!
This is the "song version" of Peter Stanganelli & Rapture's video "Let's Go Upstream" without the intro section & credits. This song is about people not following the "way of the world" which can lead to destruction but instead follow the "narrow path" to Jesus Christ. It is a call for people to be evangelists and bring people to the Lord.
We often find our identity in many things - our upbringing, who we hang out with, what groups we belong to, where we studied. The Bible is clear that our true identity is found only in Christ.

Reggae is joyful music. Bob Marley brought our awareness to it, and to the struggles of his people. Sometimes, his songs were so filled with the Good News and God's Spirit. Celebrate today, it is a Present!
MORE ABOUT THIS SONG & ME! If you have been following along with me, my journey, you may also know that I've been working on my Spirit and Faith. I don't want to alienate anybody, music is the best uniting force we have on this Earth. Whatever you believe, the voice within you that guides you to be good, THAT's what I'm hoping to touch and connect with this next song. Yet another new territory for me as a songwriter. It is Spiritual, it does reference scripture, but the sweetest part: it is from a recording of my son, age 3 from his preschool days, 10 years ago, in perfect pitch of C major. He just sang it into my tape recorder at the time. I simply KNEW this was a direct message that I needed to make this into a song, use his precious little voice and in about 4 hours, it's done. THAT is God's hand. Things don't just work that way in the natural.
