London Nurse Inspires With Audition Before Returning To Work During Pandemic

A London nurse brought one judge to tears with her touching original audition on Britain’s Got Talent. 25-year-old Beth Porch makes a living as a pediatric nurse at the National Health Service in Britain. But Beth also has a second dream and that is music. This talented young woman is a gifted vocalist and musician. Sometimes, she even brings her guitar to work to play for the children. Today, she’s taking her skills to an even bigger stage as she auditions for the latest season of Britain’s Got Talent. Beth easily won over the judges with her original song, ‘You Taught Me What Love Is.’ As a nurse, she has many difficult days. To cope with some of those emotions, she turns to music. The beautiful song you hear was inspired by her work in the children’s ward and it’s hard to hold back the tears. Judge Aleshia Dixon was the first to praise Beth. “I just want to say thank you so much, hearing what you do puts everything into perspective, I was thinking about my whole children I was choked up the whole time.” One by one, each of the judges had rave reviews for this incredible vocalist. David said, “We say on this show you've got two minutes to change your life, but you've touched all our lives with that song. It was truly staggeringly beautiful and you delivered it perfectly.” Since her initial audition, Beth has returned to work to help fight COVID-19. We thank her, and all other front line workers, for their incredible heart and sacrifices during these difficult times.

Man Gathers Neighborhood To Sing Happy Birthday To 98-Year-Old Neighbor

It was a heartwarming moment captured on camera when an entire neighborhood came together to sing Happy Birthday to their 98-year-old neighbor. As COVID-19 has caused many people to shelter indoors for safety, this also means missing out on some momentous occasions. So when Chris Carr heard that his neighbor, Barbara, was turning 98, he wanted to make sure she felt special. Chris and Barbara live on the same street in Redditch, Worcestershire. He had the brilliant idea to rally all of the neighborhood together for a rousing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday.’ He told Daily Mail, “Obviously, given the current pandemic I maintained a social distance while I was out knocking doors and every single member of our community agreed to come and sing.” And he received an overwhelmingly positive response. “Most of the people who I spoke with knew Barbara. In fact, everyone on the street said 'Oh Barbara… Yeah, we will come and sing.” In this viral clip, you can see Barbara emerge from her home and receive an unforgettable birthday surprise. The look on her face says it all. This is definitely one special lady and it’s so incredible to watch this community come together during these uncertain times. And it’s a moment that has truly had a lasting effect on the entire neighborhood. Chris said, “I feel closer to my neighbours now and when we go out on our daily exercise or if we are walking the dog and see a neighbour in the front garden we will actually stop and talk.”

Middle School A Cappella Choir Sings 'Come Fly With Me'

It’s music to our ears when this middle school choir performs an a cappella rendition of ‘Come Fly With Me’ by the legendary Frank Sinatra. As you listen to these words, you truly feel taken back to a time long ago. “Just say those words and we'll beat those birds Down to Acapulco Bay It is perfect for a flying honeymoon, they say Come on fly with me, we'll fly, we'll fly away, we'll fly” Frank Sinatra continues to be one of the most recognized jazz musician names in the entire world. The popular blue-eyed crooner grabbed hearts in America and later internationally through both a singing career and fame in Hollywood. Over the years, many artists have lent their voices to the songs that Frank made famous. But these iconic songs are always a risky choice for a performer. Today, the St. Louis Park Middle School is putting their own spin on this iconic tune and it’s absolutely stunning. Just listen as they belt out these famous words at the Barbershop Harmony Society's 2020 Midwinter Convention. “Once I get you up there Where the air is rarefied We'll just glide Starry-eyed Once I get you up there I'll be holding you so near You might hear All the angels cheer because we're together” I just love hearing the next generation cover the classics. And to hear ‘Come Fly With Me’ performed a cappella is just incredible. This just shows how much talent these middle schoolers truly possess. What a performance!

Luke Bryan Sings Back Up During Unseen Performance From Francisco Martin

18-year-old Francisco Martin stunned the judges with his initial audition on American Idol. Now, we’re getting a closer look at this life-changing moment with a previously unreleased performance from this young talent. Francisco was full of nerves when he sat in front of the camera. This pre-law college student shared that he always had a love for music, but he struggled with self-confidence. Thankfully, he was able to put all of the negative thoughts aside as he follows his dreams to pursue a career as a musician. But, as soon as he stepped up to the judges, they could sense his overwhelming fear. That’s when Luke Bryan and Lionel Ritchie stepped away from their table to give Francisco a quick pep talk. After the chance to calm down, Francisco continued on with his audition by singing ‘Alaska’ by Maggie Rogers. In the original audition, we also saw Francisco perform a snippet of one of his original songs. In today’s clip, the 18-year-old talent can be heard belting out the lyrics to “Use Somebody” from Kings Of Leon. As the judges clap along to this brilliant performance, country star Luke Bryan can’t help but chime in. As he provides the back up vocals to this unforgettable cover, we truly see Francisco shine. No wonder Luke wrote ‘winner’ on his piece of paper describing Francisco. As he prepares for his place in the Top 20, we are all looking forward to what this young man sings next. Who else is rooting for Francisco?

Touching Moment Healthcare Workers Are Surprised With Free Groceries

In a touching and heartwarming moment, healthcare workers and first responders working on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic were surprised with free groceries! Southeastern Grocers, which owns stores like Winn-Dixie and BI-LO, decided to dedicate a shopping hour for healthcare professionals and first responders. While they were checking out, the cashiers surprised these people with free groceries. “Your groceries are on Winn-Dixie,” says a cashier to a nurse as she is checking out. “Thanks for everything you do.” “Are you serious?” she replies. “I’m serious,” he says. “Oh, God bless you!” The nurse is overwhelmed and grateful for the kind act. This exchange happened over and over again as many people were shocked to hear that their groceries were being paid for by the store. One woman shared with the camera her story working with coronavirus patients during this time. “I’m an occupational therapy assistant, and this week I started working with the people who are COVID positive coming off of their ventilators,” she said. “They’re really weak and they need a lot of therapy. And so my kids don’t live with me right now because I don’t want them to get sick, so I’m home alone and just working to provide therapy for people who are too weak to also be at home.” The act of kindness that inspired Southeastern Grocers to pay for these people’s groceries was thanks to the filmmaker and actor Tyler Perry. Recently, he surprised customers who were shopping at Winn-Dixie during the senior and high-risk shopping hour by paying for their groceries. Tyler Perry paid it forward, and then Southeastern Grocers paid it forward. Let us all keep this mindset and look for ways that we can continue to pay it forward in our communities. Kindness is contagious, and there is nothing more wonderful than to spread it around.

'Ave Maria' Andrea Bocelli Live Performance From Music For Hope Concert

In a beautiful live performance, Andrea Bocelli sings ‘Ave Maria’ from the deserted Duomo di Milano during the Music For Hope concert. The famous opera singer was granted exclusive access to the closed Milan cathedral. Along with Bocelli, the Duomo di Milano’s organist, Emanuele Vianelli, was there to play during the concert. Amidst the news of COVID-19, this Easter Sunday concert seemed to rise above anything else that was going on that day. As people tuned in online, they were met with hope and inspiration as Bocelli used his amazing God-given talent to perform in the empty cathedral. When the concert started, 2.8 million peak concurrent viewers tuned in, making it one of the biggest musical live stream performances of all-time and the largest simultaneous audience for a classical live stream in YouTube history. Within the first 24 hours of Andrea Bocelli’s concert being online, the video received more than 28 million views from across the globe. As of now, a combined 35 million people worldwide have viewed the 30-minute concert online. Later, Bocelli commented on the outcome of the Music For Hope concert. “I am moved and delighted to have received such an overwhelming reaction, that has gone beyond our highest expectations. For an artist, the event is the reason for the sacrifices of a lifetime; for a believer and a Catholic as I am, it was further confirmation of the benevolent smile with which the Heavenly Father looks to his children.” The opera singer then went on to comment on the importance of prayer. “I believe in the strength of praying together; I believe in the Christian Easter, a universal symbol of rebirth that everyone – whether they are believers or not – truly needs right now.” It is beautiful to see how this concert brought people together from around the world. More than ever, this is a time where music can bring comfort, hope, and unity to the world.

Stunning Figure Skating Routine To 'Hallelujah' From Kaetlyn Osmond

Canadian figure skater Kaetlyn Osmond performs a breathtaking routine to ‘Hallelujah’ at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Leonard Cohen’s rendition of ‘Hallelujah’ is one of the most popular songs of all time. The powerful song was originally released in 1984, but it wasn’t until Jeff Buckley released the song on his 1994 album, ‘Grace’ that the song really started to gain momentum. Since that time, it’s become a worldwide phenomenon. Over the years, many artists have covered this powerful song, which sounds like a perfect blend of a rock ballad and a gospel song. Some notable covers include Bon Jovi, Pentatonix and Susan Boyle. Today, Kaetlyn Osmond, a talented ice skater, is bringing this song to life in a whole new way. Taking the ice to Tori Kelly’s stunning version of ‘Hallelujah,’ Kaetlyn thrilled the crowd in Pyeong Chang. Figure Skating is hands down one of the most elegant and mesmerizing sport and Kaetlyn is one of the best on the rink. The choreography was filled with flawless leaps, twirls, and jumps and we all know that it takes a special skill to be able to dance and glide on ice so effortlessly. As the iconic words of ‘Hallelujah’ play, Kaetlyn moves in perfect sync with the beat. And you can tell that the audience is in complete awe. No wonder this routine is being seen all over the Internet. This performance was absolutely amazing and definitely one you will never forget. Who else saw this routine back in 2018?

Inspirational Choir Earns Golden Buzzer For ASL Rendition Of 'This Is Me'

An inspirational choir’s moving performance on Britain’s Got Talent earned them the golden buzzer with their ASL rendition of ‘This Is Me.’ Jade and her 4-year-old brother, Christian, are the founders of the Sing Along With Us choir. It all started when Jade found out that her younger brother may never be able to talk. “We were told that Christian would never be able to communicate. I taught him sign language so then he could talk. And he’s here, a little miracle, proving everybody wrong,” shares Jade. “I didn’t want to accept that Christian would never be able to communicate. I just knew that there was a voice in there that needed to come out,” Jade says. “We decided that we wanted to teach other people this, so we started a class. We’re just amazed at how many people wanted to get involved.” That small group of people wanting to learn ASL grew into a huge choir, and they are using what Jade has taught them to show the audience what it truly means to be themselves. “We would never normally get an opportunity to do something like this. It’s unbelievable. We’re just so excited,” says Jade. At the start of their audition, the choir starts singing ‘This Is Me’ while Jade uses ASL from the front of the stage to sign the lyrics. Then the whole group joins Jade with ASL and starts signing the song. “When the sharpest words wanna cut me down I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out I am brave, I am bruised I am who I'm meant to be, this is me Look out 'cause here I come And I'm marching on to the beat I drum I'm not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me” While they are performing, the audience members can’t stop smiling and cheering and many of the judges have tears in their eyes. After their moving performance, the judges have nothing but praise for the choir. “You sang ‘This Is Me’ and I’m thinking, ‘You Are Us,’ because you define what this show should be all about,” Simon Cowell shares. “This is an audition that I will never, ever forget.” It was so wonderful to see this inspirational group get a golden buzzer after they gave everything they had to this performance and shared such a positive message through their audition.

AGT Winner Kodi Lee Performs 'Lean On Me' With Logan Sheppard

Kodi Lee, a singer and pianist who was a previous winner on America’s Got Talent, shares an uplifting performance of ‘Lean on Me’ with drummer Logan Sheppard. In honor of Autism Awareness Month, these two musicians decided to put together a virtual collaboration of their talents. Kodi and Logan both have autism, and they wanted to make sure to use their talents this month to encourage and bring joy to those around them. They chose to do the popular song ‘Lean on Me’ in honor of Bill Withers, who wrote the beautiful song and recently passed away. “Sometimes in our lives we all have pain We all have sorrow But if we are wise We know that there's always tomorrow Lean on me, when you're not strong And I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on For it won't be long 'Til I'm gonna need Somebody to lean on” “During these difficult and troubling times, I am super happy to see Kodi Lee healthy and continuing his inspirational journey,” comments one person on YouTube. “Thank you for being there for us Lee Family by sharing one of your shining stars with us all.” “Thanks for this post, Kodi. Perfect song for these crazy times we are living in,” writes another YouTube user. “Bless you and Logan. Great job!” Both of the guys did such a great job with this popular song, and their music is sure to have lifted the spirits of all who listened to it. Just like the lyrics say, we all need someone to lean on when times get hard. Whether it be a friend, spouse, family member, or neighbor, make sure to reach out to your loved ones for help and connection, and look for ways that you can be there for them as well.
