Do you believe in Newspaper Dragons? I don't either but I used to deliver them when I was a kid and I see them on the bottom of parakeet cages and blowing in the wind sometimes. They are words we use to describe our fragmented worlds. Fragmented sentences depicting a fragmented world. We can do better than that. Our words can give us life or death. Let's not believe and make true all this fragmentation. Let's believe and make true God's word--His words of life. Good idea, huh?
This episode has a poem, "I Am a Dragon," a song, "I Found That I Know Nothing," and a teaching from one of my books, A Course in Christianity from a chapter entitled, "My String Theory."
4 senior citizens who love JESUS and still attempt to spread his GLORY Andrew Falk-Drums, recording, producing, video Ben Bolt-Vocals Allen Smith-Bass, lyric content and shirt coolness Kurt Doelle-All guitars, writing and lyric content
In this episode I share a song that came in a rather supernatural way. "Jesus Made a Whip of Cords" then another Biblically based creative effort comes your way. The poem is entitled, "Jonah" and I wrap it up with some teaching from my book, A Course in Christianity. The chapter is entitled, "Exploring the Truth on the Internet."
We are leaving the Grandstand World, the world of spectatorship, the world of victimhood, the world of fear and doubt. Next stop? The playing field!
The poetry begins with my poem, "The Dream." Next you'll hear our song, "Eternity." Then the teaching is from my spiritual autobiography, The Opening Window. The chapter is entitled, "Pedaling Backward."
This episode of Leaving the Grandstand World looks into love. God's pure love is often superseded by mankind's convoluted twisted love. The song is, "The Call for Love." The poetry today is entitled, "Sustaining Love" and the talk which is a chapter in "A Holy Hodgepodge," is "The Mechanism of Carnal Love."
In our continuing desire to leave the grandstand world and become a player on the field, I present more poetry, songs and teachings. Today your original song is "The Light Beyond." The poetry is "God Is a Poem" The teaching is from my book, A Course in Christianity and is the chapter entitled, "Could This Be Your Preview of Coming Attractions?"
This was the 13th episode that I've prepared today so I thought I'd share some creativity that involved carnality and its place in this world. The poem is entitled, "We're Leaving Bodies Everywhere;" the song is entitled, "Who Would Think," and the teaching is from my book, The Traveler. It is chapter 17, Halloween and Jesus.
As we come out of the Covid Pandemic we realize that we must Dare to Dream that we can collectively assure progress in all challenges in the world. This Christian Sci-fi Video dares us to dream
