Sorry for the spelling mistake. The word "nuggle" should be "snuggle". In April I was concerned for my son since he couldn't get his body temperature warm, and that was when this song was birthed as a prayer to my Lord. As a mom, sometimes you just want to go and rescue your kids even though they are all grown up and have moved out. I was feeling so helpless, and that is when I turned to my Lord for help. Then my cat Stormy became ill with his bladder problem so included him in this song as well. Since my son and Stormy are both males it worked out for them both! Words and Music by Linda Conn April 2013.
This song, "You Better Trust", is based on Proverbs 3:5-6 & corresponding verses from the Old Testament, to give it a three-dimensional perspective
1. Like King Solomon, believers often feel that being "good" just doesn't pay and we find ourselves wondering why the grass is more lush on the "other side". The purpose of our existence seems vague and doubt seeps in.
2. In Exodus, the dying Israelites had ONLY to look at the brass serpent; and even though it was illogical, the few who believed, lived.
3. Writing this song involved taking a good hard look at our own willingness to have the "child-like faith" that our Lord Jesus desires from His sheep. We realize that it's okay to be a work-in-progress as long as He is at the helm. (..All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose Rom 8:28)
