This beautiful song is part of Lauren Daigle’s new full-length self-titled album. The project’s first ten songs came out in May, and another thirteen songs will be released this September. All twenty-three tracks showcase the singer’s stunning and powerful voice and her incredible musicality.

Lauren Daigle recently shared how the song ‘Be Okay’ came about and why it means so much to her.

“I wrote this track with my friend Ellie Holcomb, and it’s so special to me. Whatever hardship you may be going through – in joy or in sorrow, in strength and in weakness, there is a promise that we can hold on to that God works together good things for our good,” Lauren said. “You may be feeling like you don’t have purpose on this earth, or you don’t know what your reason for being here is, but I promise you it will all be okay.”

Many people online shared how the new song was encouraging to them and lifted their spirits.

Listen to this upbeat, foot-tapping song titled, ‘Take It To The Cross’ by Katy Nichole in New York Sessions. 

“You’ve spent so many sleepless nights. Worries racin’ through your mind.

The first verse of the song captures our daily troubles of adulting and trying to get ahead in the rat race of life. But Katy’s music turns our heads away from our problems and puts our eyes squarely on the cross with a reminder of how we can take our burdens to our savior. 

We can lay ourselves at the feet of our “Mercy Giver.” She reminds us God will wash our sins away in Jesus’ name. Along with washing our sins away, God will break the chains holding us back. All we have to do is take it to the cross. 

It’s such a simple concept, but we lose sight of it when we’re faced with the daily realities of life. Parenting, bills, health struggles, relationship challenges, and laundry. Laundry is never done! But the Lord knows and sees our lives. He wants to lift our burdens and replace them with his spiritual joy. I love Katy’s music vibe of southern gospel revival with a hint of country.

What I love even more about her music is Katy takes challenges and trials of her own life and creates music we all can relate to. This 22-year-old has faced congenital scoliosis, depression, and pain, but she stands in victory with God who healed her. She can’t help but sing of his miracles and faithfulness to remind her listeners, to take all your burdens to the cross. 

"Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it,” Matthew 16:24-25.

This great song is part of for KING + COUNTRY’s new album, also titled What Are You Waiting For. It was released earlier this year after a long period of self-reflection and personal growth for the band during the pandemic. Some of the lessons learned about family, spirituality, and unity are reflected in the messages on the 13-song album.

When it comes to the message of the song ‘What Are We Waiting For,’ the band members of for KING + COUNTRY shared their thoughts.

“So often we deal in statements in life — about ourselves, about God, about others. And yet, if you look at Jesus’ life, He often dealt in questions. We have found it very relieving and exciting to start writing from that place, and ‘What Are We Waiting For?’ stands as just that,” the singers explained.

“One of our favorite lines in the whole song is ‘What are we praying for? What are we saving for? What if we could be the light that no one could ignore?’ We’re proud to ask these questions alongside you, and we hope that you find your answers as we’ve found ours,” they shared.

“Count ‘Em,” Brandon Lake’s new official music video, is packed with powerful images and words. You may need a few views to identify and absorb them. You’ll most certainly want to watch it on replay!

The video opens on a set that mimics a dark city street. Brandon sits and leans against a newspaper vending machine as he reads a flaming copy. Inside the case, The Prodigal Times features a front-page story with the heading “The Greatest Miracle Of All Time.” And, for the next four minutes, Brandon Lake enumerates a laundry list of Jesus’s greatest miracles! 

The photo under the newspaper’s headline is an empty tomb, but Jesus’s resurrection is only one miracle mentioned in the song’s lyrics. You might want to reflect on each of them cited, testing yourself on the details of the Bible story-not-story referenced.

Brandon himself portrays a miracle in the video. Looking like a stereotypical problem (or prodigal) adult man-child, he is surrounded by a group of black-clad singers. With tattoos and lots of jewelry, Brandon does not look like the choir boy of our old-school imaginations, even though he grew up in church as a pastor’s kid.

With a quick switch to a brightly lit room, Brandon walks to a clothes rack that holds a single white robe. A tag on the robe reads “Miracle Child” underneath a photo of Brandon. He holds the tag a few moments before we are back in the dark.

Four lines of one verse go as follows:

All those funerals You ruined when You made the dead rise 
Heaven’s healer using spit and mud 
To open blind eyes 
You got wonders I can’t number     

The artist doesn’t waste a line, referring to “raging seas” and “prophecies,” Goliath and Thomas. 

Just past the halfway mark at 2:13, the lights come on briefly, and the volume goes down. There is a tone change, reflective of the conversion, that is dramatized in the video. 

He studies the white robe’s tag once again, pockets it, and puts on the robe. And, within the next minute, all of the black-clad singers do likewise. It’s very impactful!

Brandon and friends smile, dance, sing, and rejoice in their fresh, pristine robes for the next 40 seconds—they represent lives changed by Jesus! After all, He’s still doing miracles every day! The newspaper has been consumed by fire, but the true story lives on.

“He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.” Job 5:9

Listen to the beautiful song ‘Come Thou Fount (I Will Sing)’ performed by Chris Tomlin and be reminded today of all the blessings that God gives us.

Hymns like ‘Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing’ have withstood the test of time. It was written back in 1758, but church congregations still sing out these lyrics today. 

As the hymn says, Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God. Jesus came to us while we were still sinners, not after we had cleaned ourselves up and gotten our acts together. He came right into the middle of our wandering.

The message of the song still resonates with believers, and Chris Tomlin’s rendition continues to remind us that God is by our side. His love and mercy reign down on us each and every day, and what a blessing that is! I am forever grateful that Christ pursued me and poured out His grace upon me, and songs like this are great reminders of that.

Words like joy, happiness, and love come to mind when watching the new “This Is Jesus” official music video by Jordan Smith. And, well, those are among three of the best adjectives there are to define and describe our Savior!

Recorded in the streets of Dallas, Texas, the video features approximately a dozen individuals of different races, ethnicities, ages, and backgrounds as they sing, dance, and praise in a variety of cityscapes. 

While often, God’s creation is on display in Christian music videos—snow-capped mountains, gorgeous golden wheat fields, shimmering and sunlit waterfalls—Jordan’s video puts God’s children against muraled city walls, on busy streets and under concrete overpasses. But these folks aren’t hurried or frustrated; they are rejoicing!

“This is Jesus” is a celebratory song! The lyrics refer to a few of Jesus’s everyday actions, like healing the blind, offering freedom from our chains, and giving peace in our pain. These are dance-worthy deeds, and Jordan and crew know that!

The chorus goes as follows:

Lift your eyes, raise your voice to the King of all creation 
He is love, He is life; This is Jesus 
Gather every nation like a billion streams of light 
‘Til every heart, every soul can feel Him reach us 

The song was written by McKay Crockett, Tyler Castleton, and Staci Peters. McKay says of the video, “I love how the song and music video personifies the universality of Jesus. He is for every person, from every walk of life.”

Jordan Smith was just 22 years old in 2015 when he competed on The Voice. All four judges turned their chairs for Jordan, but he joined Adam Levine’s team and won the entire season! 

Jordan’s been busy since then recording and writing music, and he’ll be on tour soon, visiting other big cities with other big-name artists, including Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Jordin Sparks. We’re betting those will be joy, happiness, and love-filled shows!

Most often, I find him in the midst of worship. It doesn’t matter if I’m at home, in the office, or in my car. There is something about calling upon the Lord in worship that refreshes the soul. God alone is worthy of all our praise because he is our Creator and Savior. We owe every breath to the One who has made us, and we have a new life, purchased by the blood of Christ because he gave his life for our own.

At the start of ‘Faith For It,’ the lyrics state a declaration to mountains and sleepers to move out of the way and come alive in the power of Jesus' name. Then the song goes on to reference biblical stories like the falling of Jericho's stronghold and the slaying of Goliath. These are all great reminders to us all of God’s faithfulness and power!

Phil Wickham recently shared how ‘People Of Heaven’ came about. “A few weeks ago, Brandon and I had a crazy idea to write and record a song specifically to end the nights and go out with a band on our upcoming tour. We laughed about it at first, but then a song started forming, and before we knew it we had recorded ‘People Of Heaven.’ It truly feels like God is all over the story of this one,” he said. “I am so, so pumped about this song, and I can’t wait to sing it with Brandon every night on the Summer Worship Nights Tour. It’s gonna go off!”

Brandon Lake also shared how quickly this new song was created. “Phil Wickham, Brandon Breitenbach, and I wanted to write a song for this season, a song that would remind us of the hope and future we have,” Brandon said. “And we ended up writing and recording this joy bomb in a matter of hours and releasing it days later.”
