Singles, it is my sincerest prayer that you find the beauty in Valentine's Day and know that you are worthy of the love that awaits you. Always remember that love is patient and kind. Be patient and kind with yourself. That's the first step to love.

When we take an honest look at the motives behind the desire to do something for mockery (in this case, celebrating a counter holiday), we will often find what is exposed is the need for healing in our own hearts. After a heart check with the Lord, if you find just a desire to express sarcasm and wit, then humor the idea. On the other hand, if what you find is a deeper heart condition of loneliness, depression, or longing unfulfilled, know it is safe to allow God into those places.

No matter what is said of you on this day, or if you're feeling overwhelmed with the notion that Valentine's Day is not for you, pray those thoughts away and remember that every day God breathes life into you is a day filled with love. Show yourself some love in the upcoming days before Valentine's Day; that way, when the day arrives, you'll be so filled with love that you'll enjoy the celebrations going on around you.

‘You complete me.’ This probably sounds like the most romantic thing your partner may have said to you. It definitely feels good when someone tells us that we complete them. It sounds even more romantic than, “I love you.” But if we dig into the phrase a little deeper, it means this person needs you to be a complete person which eventually leads to the conclusion that without you, this person cannot grow.
