When we’re going through a scary and uncertain time, or if we’re feeling mistreated, attacked, or overwhelmed by the enemy, there is only one place to run and only one protector able to provide an unfaltering, even tangible feeling of protection: our maker.

While not all women are called to start a ministry, every woman needs to hear true messages—especially from the church—about who they are.

Darkness can’t stop the light. Big waves can’t drown God’s promises. Truth always conquers lies—and Jesus already conquered death. 

Yes, God does care about our clutter for different reasons. Clutter almost always involves heart, mind, and soul issues that God wants us to bring to Him to help resolve. But we need to first define clutter and then read what God says about the issues surrounding it. 

The question of women’s prodigious participation in church events is truly a look at how God created females. Women are similar to men as created in God’s image and in their responsibilities as ambassadors for Christ, but are unique in their capacity to complement men as equal but different, making their roles complementary.

The world has a distorted view of beauty, but we can turn to the Lord whenever we need encouragement. Jesus teaches us that we are beautiful just as we are, and it is time to embrace the truths we find in 1 Peter 3.

In a world filled with confusion about identity, Christian women are called to remember their God-given worth and purpose. Through biblical examples of faith, loyalty, and strength, Scripture affirms that a woman’s value is not determined by societal shifts but by the unchanging love and design of her Creator.

What a great day for women to embrace their womanhood and give God the glory as we thank Him for making us in His image. Let’s look at four practical ways Christians and churches can celebrate International Women’s Day.

I felt sheepish and a bit sad to have to say once again to another inquiring person that, no, we weren’t pregnant. I felt like such a broken record! She grabbed my hand and said, “Well! Guess what?! I’m not either!” She smiled and then remarked that God was still on His throne, still good, and life was still blessed.

Instead of hiding behind our bumper stickers that we are, “Not of this World” or, “Not Perfect, Just Forgiven”, let’s get real about some of the bad habits we, as Christian women, need to break.

As I've seen young women develop relationships with the legacies of the women who have gone before, I have become more convicted that it is important to teach the "feet on the ground" examples of those who have gone before us and now surround us as a part of that "great cloud of witnesses."

In the New Testament, while great church leaders such as the apostles Peter, John and Paul certainly provide strong examples of how to follow Christ, there are other, more “regular” people whose lives also serve as a testament. They point to how we can live for Christ in spite of the challenges and demands of everyday life.

Being a born people-pleaser, my natural default is to compare myself to those more motivated than me. And when I do that I lose––every time.

The love He has for you is unconditional and unbreakable. Find comfort in Him this Valentine’s Day and rest in the knowledge that you are beloved.

I pray that these five simple tips help keep you from unrealistic expectations not only this Valentine’s Day but every day of the year! Remember to thank God for where you are, communicate clearly with your spouse and view things from the lens of Scripture.
