Our minds can fill quickly.

A headline.

A difficult conversation.

A deadline.

A memory.

A fear about tomorrow.

A comment we cannot stop replaying.

Before long, one thought becomes ten.

 

Then ten become a spiral.

That is why Philippians 4:8 is so practical.

Paul does not tell us that hard feelings are imaginary or that painful thoughts should simply disappear.

He gives us a direction.

A filter.

A place to turn our attention.
