A Cappella 'The Place Where Lost Things Go' From Mary Poppins Returns

Chris Rupp sings a cappella ‘The Place Where Lost Things Go’ from Disney’s feature film Mary Poppins Returns. When the beloved character, Mary Poppins returns to help the Banks family, she also brought some new songs. One of those catchy tunes is ‘The Place Where Lost Things Go’ performed in the movie by actress Emily Blunt. “Do you ever dream Or reminisce? Wondering where to find What you truly miss Well maybe all those things That you love so Are waiting in the place Where the lost things go” Today, this special song is getting the a cappella treatment from viral sensation Chris Rupp. Rupp became a household name as part of the musical group Home Free. Now, he has embarked on a successful solo career covering popular songs and hymns. Chris is truly an incredible musician and vocalist and his songs always bring a smile to my face. Just listen as he effortlessly belts out the lyrics to this Disney tune. When you truly listen to the words, the song takes on a whole new life. “Nothing's gone forever Only out of place” I’m always in awe of how Chris can take a popular song and put his own unique spin on it. This musical tune was already special but hearing this a cappella version is out of this world. If you are a Mary Poppins fan, then you can truly appreciate this remarkable cover. So close your eyes and let the music transport you into a world of whimsy and fun.

Bus Driver Rescues Baby Boy Wandering Busy Street Alone

Everyone is calling her a hero after this bus driver rescues baby boy wandering in the middle of the street. Irena Ivic is a driver with the Milwaukee County Transit System. On the morning of December 22, 2018, Irena was on her route when she spotted something terrifying. A barefoot toddler was running down the sidewalk on a highway overpass. There was no adult in sight. As soon as Irena saw the young boy outside in the below freezing temperature, she knew she needed to stop and help. This brave woman pulled the bus over and ran over to grab the baby. Authorities say he was less than a year old. Cameras on the bus and road capture Irena picking up the boy and bringing him back onto the bus. The passengers are shocked at the sight of the child wearing just a onesie. One woman offers her jacket while the bus driver wraps him up in her arms. Everyone waits anxiously for authorities to arrive, but during that time the young boy falls asleep in Irena’s arms. It is obvious that he was looking for a safe place and he found it in this hero bus driver’s embrace. If Irena had not been aware of her surroundings and stopped, who knows what would have happened to this lost child. I’m so glad that there are still great and compassionate people in this world that go out of their way to help others. Prayers for this boy that he gets the love and protection that he deserves.

Little Boy Dances To Michael Jackson After Finishing Cancer Treatment

A young boy dances it out to Michael Jackson after completing cancer treatment. 5-year-old Solomon Lutui never let his battle with cancer get him down. After being diagnosed with desmoplastic small round cell tumor last year, Solomon has remained upbeat. He quickly became an inspiration after his mother posted videos of him showing off his Michael Jackson dance moves in the hospital. It was a regular occurrence for Solomon to get up and groove as he underwent treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital. This brave little guy quickly became a Michael Jackson fan after watching his classic videos in the hospital. Soon, he tried to imitate the moves and it wasn’t long before Solomon was a pro. Now, Solomon is dancing to ‘Billie Jean’ and it is definitely my favorite dance so far. He just finished up his treatment and he’s celebrating with some epic dance moves. There is no way you can remain seated as this cutie glides all around the hospital room with the biggest smile on his face. I cannot get over how good his dancing skills are. He even has the signature white glove on one hand. Now that his treatment is through, Solomon can begin to lead a normal life again. Even though his days in the hospital are over I have a feeling that his dancing days have just begun. This is definitely the daily dose of happiness that my heart needed today. What about you? Are you smiling as big as little Solomon right now?

Trio Of Crooners Earn Last Second Turn With 'Luck Be A Lady' Audition

A trio of crooners barely earned a last second chair turn with their ‘Luck Be A Lady’ audition. 43-year-old Duncan, 36-year-old Nathan and 39-year-old Jamie from Brighton made up The Flatpack. This year, they decided to take their musical talents for the big stage and audition for The Voice UK. Starting with this season, duos and trios are allowed to try out. Just watch as they stand on stage and belt out the classic lyrics of Frank Sinatra’s ‘Luck Be A Lady.’ “Luck be a lady tonight Luck be a lady tonight Luck if you've been a lady to begin with Luck be a lady tonight Luck let a gentleman see Just how nice a dame you can be I know the way you've treated other guys you've been with Luck be a lady with me” As soon as the judges heard multiple voices, their faces lit up. Within seconds, they had the whole audience clapping along to this upbeat favorite. But when none of the judges turned their chairs, audience members started to yell and cheer even louder. Some even started to beg the judges to push their buttons and see the amazing faces behind the song. Just when I thought the entire audition was over, judge Olly Murs hit his button and The Flatpack were overjoyed. Now, they will move onto the next stage of competition with Olly as their coach. I cannot wait to hear what these crooners perform on The Voice UK stage next. What about you?

'Faith And Wonder' - Meredith Andrews Featuring Cody Ray Lee Abbie Simmons

Dove award-winning artist Meredith Andrews gives a live performance of her new single “Faith and Wonder” featuring Cody Ray Lee and Abbie Simmons. Andrews puts faith at the forefront with this beautiful song about the glory of God. “Full of faith and wonder I will say no other Name but Yours name but Yours” There is truly no one like our Lord in Heaven. His name is more powerful than we could ever imagine. This worship song is a beautiful reminder that when we have God by our side, there is no force that can stand in our way. “This name that storms the gates of hell The only word my life will live to tell All the earth will bow beneath the sound Higher than the others higher than the others Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus” The words truly remind us that there is hope in Christ. He is truly the strength that carries us and He is the light that will guide us home. The Lord will provide for us and He will always be there with open arms to welcome everyone home. Let us sing these powerful words out loud for all the world to hear. Psalm 150: 1-5 “1 Praise the LORD.Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. 3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, 5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.”

Deaf Dancer Earns Standing Ovation On British Dancing Competition

An inspiring deaf dancer earns a standing ovation on The Greatest Dancer. 28-year-old Chris Fonseca has always had a passion for dance, but many were unsure if he had what it took to live out his dream. When Chris was just 23 months old, he lost his ability to hear due to meningitis. But, utilizing his hearing aid, this amazing young man is able to dance by feeling the vibrations and slight sounds. After a beautiful introduction from his little brother, it was time for Chris to take the stage on The Greatest Dancer. This new show follows dancers of all ages and genres as they compete for prize money and the chance to appear on Strictly Come Dancing. At first, the dancer is hidden behind a wall. As they start to perform, the audience is given the chance to vote on the audition. If more than 75 percent of the audience likes the dancer, the mirrored-wall will open and the dancer moves on to the next round. Chris confidently performed a hip-hop routine to Drake’s ‘God’s Plan.’ Shortly after he started his routine, the mirror opened up and this incredible dancer was treated to a standing ovation. Judge Matthew Morrison was touched by the performance saying, “I dance personally because I’m inspired by the music. And watching you, you were so extremely musical for someone who can’t hear the music. You became your own music.” What an incredible moment for this talented dancer and I cannot wait to see what he comes up with next.

'He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother' - Tommy Emmanuel And John Knowles

Tommy Emmanuel and John Knowles perform a stunning rendition of the classic song “'He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother.” This touching song was originally written by Bobby Scott and Bob Russell and made famous by The Hollies in 1969. “The road is long With many a winding turn That leads us to who knows where Who knows where But I'm strong Strong enough to carry him He ain't heavy, he's my brother” Many people have speculated the origins of the phrase, but most give credit to James Wells the Moderator of the United Free Church of Scotland. In 1884, Wells wrote a book called The Parables of Jesus. One of the stories recalls a little girl struggling to carry her big baby brother. When someone asks if she was tired, she stunned everyone by saying "No, he's not heavy; he's my brother." “It's a long, long road From which there is no return While we're on the way to there Why not share And the load Doesn't weigh me down at all He ain't heavy he's my brother” Over the years, many artists have covered this special song. Today, we are hearing a beautiful rendition from Tommy Emmanuel featuring John Knowles. Hearing these words stripped down truly gives this iconic song an entirely new feel. These two gentlemen definitely have a talent for performing and their voices combine perfectly for this tune. You can find this song and many others on their album 'Heart Songs.' Who else remembers hearing this one when it was first released?

Mother's Hunch Helps Save A Hiker With Barely A Day To Live

One woman’s maternal instinct helps save a hiker on the verge of death. When Nancy Abell met Katharina Groene on the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington State, they struck up a conversation. Nancy found out that Katharina was from Germany and she had plans to continue hiking the trail all the way to the Canadian border. The young woman was by herself but she had already walked the first 2,500 miles of the trail. Even though she only had 150 more miles to go, Nancy urged the stranger not to go on. After they departed, Nancy could not get Katharina out of her mind. "I was really stressed out. I felt really compelled that I really needed to get help for her," the concerned woman said. Katharina was hiking late in the season, with no snowshoes and the forecast was calling for two feet of snow. That’s when Nancy called 911. Even though the young hiker was not reported missing, she convinced the authorities that it was a dangerous situation and she needed to be located. The Snohomish County Sheriff's department searched the area and the inexperienced hiker was found frostbit. They said she had maybe a day left to live. Now, everyone is calling this ‘overprotective’ mama a hero, especially Katharina. She shared that the entire reason she embarked on the hike alone was because she had given up on people. Because of Nancy’s incredible act, her faith in humanity is now restored. What an amazing story of listening to those voices within, no matter what.

Dying Father Shares First Dance With Daughter At Her Wedding

This dying father shares an emotional first dance with his daughter on her wedding day. One of the most important moments in a woman’s life is when she gets married. It’s a time when she stands with the love of her life and they make a commitment to one another in front of God and family. There are many special moments throughout the day, but one moment that always sticks out is the father-daughter dance. Normally done at the reception, this dance is always full of emotion. But one family is cherishing that moment for another reason. Mary Bourne Butts feared that her father may not make it to her December 29th wedding. In May of 2017, her father, Jim Roberts, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an incurable brain cancer. Shortly before the wedding, Roberts was placed into hospice care. But by the grace of God, this father made it to his daughter’s wedding and onto the dance floor. Together, they danced around to the classic country song ‘I Hope You Dance’ from LeeAnn Womack. Roberts is confined to a wheelchair but that didn’t stop Mary from twirling all around and sharing a tender moment with her dad. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room as this loving father sang the lyrics right along with his daughter. After being posted online, this video quickly went viral with over 400,000 views on Facebook. What a truly beautiful moment captured on film. Mary will surely cherish this dance for a lifetime.
